Focusing on sleep and office scenarios, we have developed smart products powered by self-developed sensors, algorithms, and other proprietary technologies.

Proprietary Micro-Motion Sensitive Mattress Sleep Monitoring Technology; Smart Anti-Snoring Pillow Validated by Multiple Studies

In 2021, the number of people in China with sleep disorders surpassed the 300 million mark. Behind this figure lies immense growth potential for the sleep market.

According to data from China Galaxy Securities Research Institute, the overall market size of China’s sleep economy grew from RMB 261.63 billion in 2016 to RMB 377.86 billion in 2020, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of approximately 9.6%. The market spawned by sleep-related issues has expanded beyond sleep-aid products such as bedding, eye masks, sleep sprays, and melatonin to encompass technology-driven solutions, including sleep-tracking apps, smart beds, and intelligent sleep devices. It is for this reason that some investment firms have stated that “sleep” will become the next major investment trend.

BackRobo Technology has targeted the smart sleep market, developing a range of products including the Tianmian Smart Anti-Snoring Pillow and smart health mattresses.

Tianmian Anti-Snoring PillowEquipped with a comprehensive snoring analysis and intervention system, it accurately detects user sleep snoring data and automatically makes scientific adjustments through algorithms: after precisely locating the user's head position during sleep, it inflates the corresponding airbag, which gently expands to slowly turn the head to the side until snoring is significantly reduced or even stops.

It is reported that,This product has been validated by nearly ten domestic and international studies, which demonstrated that the Tianmian Smart Anti-Snoring Pillow reduces users’ snoring time by 67% (p<0.001), with no impact on the supine position when the smart anti-snoring function is activated.

Intelligent Lumbar Support, Prolonged Sitting Management, and Other Technological Innovations for Precise Calculation of Adaptive, Multi-State Comfort

As a key fixture in office environments, chairs have garnered significant attention regarding their development. According to data from Guan Yan Report Network, China’s demand for office chairs was approximately 230 million units in 2020, with a market size of around RMB 26.5 billion. By 2026, the market size for office chairs is projected to reach RMB 37.6 billion.

However, prolonged sitting often leads to lower back pain, cervical spine damage, and spinal injuries. Consequently, many designers have focused on ergonomic principles to enhance the comfort of office chairs. Nevertheless, achieving personalized designs that cater to diverse user needs remains a significant challenge.

BackRobo Technology has also taken note of this development trend and is intervening through intelligent solutions.

Its independently developed smart chair utilizes intelligent sensing technology to calculate and deliver adaptive, multi-state comfort. By integrating data from lumbar pressure sensors, seat weight sensors, and prolonged sitting duration, the system jointly intervenes to enhance overall seating comfort.

Its intelligent lumbar support can smartly detect sitting and standing states. Sitting down will automatically activate the adaptive lumbar mode, while standing up will put it into standby mode. During the sitting process, the intelligent lumbar support can conform to the lumbar position under different sitting postures at any time, providing simultaneous lumbar support. The position can also be manually adjusted to fix it at the user’s desired level of support.

To address issues associated with prolonged sitting, this smart chair can detect and monitor sedentary duration. When a user has been seated for 40 minutes or one hour (customizable via the mobile app), airbags inflate to prompt the user to stand up and engage in appropriate physical activity. If the user chooses to remain seated, the chair will initiate a lumbar massage for relaxation. Meanwhile, the chair collects and analyzes data such as sedentary duration, frequency of seating, and cumulative sitting time, generating data reports to facilitate user health management.
