In August 2021, Catug established its presence and base in Wuhan Optics Valley Biological City. It currently operates a 4,700 m² R&D center and industrialization production lines, including a GMP facility with a total area of 3,000 m². Equipped with technology transfer areas, GMP workshops, and quality control laboratories, the fully functional facilities provide end-to-end coverage from plasmids to mRNA, LNP, and final products, thereby accelerating the efficiency of project transfer and incubation.

Among these, the plasmid DNA GMP production line was put into operation in early 2022. Leveraging its robust capabilities in plasmid DNA process development and manufacturing, Catug has successfully fulfilled deliveries of plasmids at various grades for multiple clients.

The newly commissioned mRNA and LNP GMP production lines enable an end-to-end manufacturing process, spanning from plasmid preparation and mRNA synthesis to LNP formulation and final product filling. These facilities provide GMP manufacturing services for mRNA vaccines and therapeutics that comply with clinical submission standards in both China and the United States.
