Comprehensive Medical Information

1. Guangdong Deploys 2026 Provincial "Two Products and One Device" Safety Monitoring Work

Recently, the 2026 Guangdong Province "Two Products and One Device" Safety Monitoring Work Conference and Business Training was held in Huizhou, with 95 participants. The meeting conveyed the spirit of the national and provincial drug supervision and management work conferences, reviewed the achievements of 2025, analyzed current challenges, and outlined key tasks for 2026. The conference included monitoring business training sessions and experience-sharing among multiple municipal monitoring institutions. The meeting emphasized that 2026 should focus on people's health, with modernizing regulatory services as the main thread, achieving "three transformations"; provincial and municipal monitoring institutions should collaborate, strengthen enterprises' primary responsibility, promote the construction of enterprise training platforms, and enhance cooperation with health departments; improve information platforms, innovate regulatory methods, increase professional training efforts, and leverage informatization, province-city collaboration, and technical support to advance Guangdong's regulatory modernization to the forefront in China. 2. Wuxi Layout Cell Therapy

Recently, the Wuxi Health Commission is leading the establishment of the "Wuxi Cell Biotherapy Research Center" to build a full-chain collaborative innovation platform encompassing "R&D - clinical trials - industrialization." Cell therapy uses live cells to repair or replace damaged tissues or modulate the immune system, mainly including stem cell therapy and immune cell therapy. Stem cells, with their self-renewal and differentiation potential, offer new hope for many "incurable" diseases. Currently, over ten drug clinical trial projects related to stem cell product development are being implemented in Wuxi, covering multiple specialties, with some products already entering Phase II and III clinical trials, potentially filling treatment gaps for conditions like knee osteoarthritis. To ensure standardized progress, the Municipal Health Commission held a seminar proposing measures such as forming a dedicated task force and establishing a standardized quality control center. Wuxi has already accumulated significant expertise in the biopharmaceutical field. (Sina News)

3. "NEUCYBER No. 2" is expected to enter clinical trials within this year.

Recently, the Beijing Institute of Brain Science and Brain-like Intelligence announced that the "North Brain II" intelligent brain-computer system, after long-term animal experiments, is expected to enter the human trial phase by the end of 2026. Its electrodes, as thin as a hair, have been implanted in the brains of macaques for over two years, capable of precisely capturing neural cell activity data. Algorithms use this data to predict the macaques' movement intentions, assisting them in completing click actions. The "North Brain II" can transmit approximately 7.2 bits of brain electrical signals per second and has completed the development of a 512-channel engineering prototype. The company behind the "North Brain II," NEUCYBER, also developed the "North Brain I," which began large-scale confirmatory clinical trials at the end of March and is expected to obtain clinical registration certification in 2027. The "North Brain I" is semi-invasive, while the "North Brain II" is invasive; the former has minimal impact on patients, while the latter is expected to better "understand" the brain. It is uncommon globally for a company to simultaneously develop two such systems, with Zhongguancun Life Science Park providing multi-faceted support. 4. NEUCYBER Brain-Machine Interface Innovation and Transformation Center Officially Inaugurated in Shanghai

Recently, at the 8th International Neurotechnology Innovation Forum, the NEUCYBER Brain-Computer Interface Science and Innovation Transformation Center was inaugurated in Shanghai. The center, jointly established by Minhang District of Shanghai and Fudan University, leverages Fudan University's comprehensive research advantages in the brain-computer interface field and collaborates with world-class international research platforms to create a brain-computer interface science and innovation accelerator that integrates talent cultivation, international collaborative innovation, and disruptive technology incubation. The center will build an integrated dual-platform innovation pathway comprising a "Scientific Research Sharing Platform" and a "Science and Innovation Transformation Acceleration Platform," establishing a bridge for industry-university-research collaborative innovation to promote the implementation, transformation, and application of cutting-edge innovations in the brain-computer interface and neurotechnology fields. Additionally, during the forum, the Yangtze River Delta Innovation Competition・Brain-Computer Interface and Neurotechnology Special Contest was officially launched, and Agricultural Bank of China’s “Brain-Loan” product was simultaneously released. 5. IVD Leader Accelerates the Construction of a Life Science Platform

Recently, SaintRay Biotech, the IVD industry leader, made two major investments within three days to accelerate the construction of a life science technology platform. First, it announced a 90 million yuan investment in Zhe Yuan Technology, an AI healthcare company. Then, it proposed establishing a joint venture to acquire Hua Si Wei Micro, with a total transaction value of 93.3929 million yuan. Hua Si Wei Micro owns proprietary intellectual property rights for infrared fluorescence enhancement technology and has developed multiple test kits and supporting instruments, covering various fields and obtaining numerous certifications. Although currently in the early investment stage with poor financial data, SaintRay Biotech values its technical complementarity and business synergy. The infrared fluorescence technology complements SaintRay's existing products, and its equipment characteristics align with the company's strategy to focus on consumer and primary healthcare. Additionally, despite stabilizing revenue in recent years, SaintRay Biotech's profits have declined due to the increase in VAT rates and the centralized procurement policy, which may prompt the company to expedite its strategic transformation. 6. Former Neuralink Co-founder Max Hodak Accelerates Development of "Biohybrid" Brain-Computer Interface

Recently, Science Corporation, a brain-computer interface company founded by Max Hodak, announced that it is accelerating the development of its "biohybrid" brain-computer interface product. Renowned neurosurgeon Murat Günel has joined the team to lead the preparations for human clinical trials in the United States. Unlike traditional brain-computer interfaces that rely on metal electrodes to directly stimulate or read brain signals, Science’s approach attempts to combine "biology" with "electronics." This involves embedding lab-grown neurons into hardware, using light stimulation and electrical signals to interact with these neurons so they naturally integrate with the human brain, creating a "biohybrid" brain-computer interface product. The company believes this method could potentially avoid brain tissue damage caused by the long-term implantation of metal electrodes. (IT Home)

8. NEUCYBER Completes Seed Round Financing

Recently, Chengdu Wabot Technology Co., Ltd. announced the completion of its seed round financing, exclusively invested by CE Capital, a key industry investment platform in Chengdu High-Tech Zone. The company achieved a high valuation from CE Capital's seed fund just five months after commencing operations. Founded by Zhang Xingzhi, an innovative leading engineering Ph.D. from Tsinghua University, the company has pioneered a "computing power paradigm shift for hardware" technological approach. Through the "H-A-I-S" full-stack underlying architecture, it achieves 100% domestic substitution of core EEG acquisition chips and independently develops flexible dry electrodes, breaking physical limits to achieve "zero-training" ultimate mind decoding. The company launched two consumer-grade terminals, Lingxi and Dreamweaver, redefining interaction paradigms and safeguarding users' mental well-being. This round of financing will focus on the procurement of core large model computing power, product engineering finalization, and R&D. (Brain-Computer Interface Community)
