AI Drug Developer for Gut Microbiota

Recently, the IFHST International Forum on Health Technology in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the 2025 Shenzhen Health Industry Annual Conference were held at the Shenzhen Campus of Sun Yat-sen University. The conference focused on in-depth exchanges regarding cutting-edge research and translational applications in microbiota, with an invited keynote speech by Wu Qingping, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. As a leading enterprise in China's microecology research and industry, Xbiome presented alongside academicians to report the company’s latest scientific research progress in the field of anti-aging using gut microbiota derived from the Chinese population. During the release ceremony of innovative practice cases for new productive forces in Shenzhen's health industry, Xbiome was awarded two outstanding practice case honors: "Social Responsibility Health ESG" and "Technological Innovation."

On the Same Stage as Academicians: Intestinal Microecology Becomes a New Focus of the Large Health Industry

As an important engine driving innovation in the large health industry, microbiome science is becoming a key force in activating new productive forces and reshaping the industrial landscape. This conference focuses on microbiome to promote the deep integration of technological innovation and the large health industry. In his keynote speech, Academician Wu Qingping shared cutting-edge research achievements in the field of functional microorganisms with the audience. He emphasized that microorganisms are closely related to human health and play a significant role in regulating gut flora and balancing nutrition.

Dr. Tan Yan, Co-founder and CEO of Xbiome, then took the stage to share the latest research progress on anti-aging using gut microbiota derived from the Chinese population. Dr. Tan Yan pointed out that Fecal Microbiota Transplantation (FMT) can effectively regulate NAD⁺ metabolism, estrogen levels, and intestinal barrier function, improving chronic inflammation and cellular energy homeostasis.Xbiome Injects Cutting-Edge Science into the Health Industry, Discovers NAD⁺ Super Donor, Builds a Multi-Level New FMT Product Matrix, Promotes Advanced Microecological Technology for the Masses, and Addresses Major Health Needs Such as Fat Reduction, Weight Loss, and Aging Delay.

Dr. Tan Yan also brought significant breakthroughs by Xbiome in the field of functional strain anti-aging – the discovery of the Chinese-origin "longevity strain" XA-02D. XA-02D was isolated from the gut of a 96-year-old female longevity elder in Meizhou, China. According to the patent application documents, this strain can effectively protect ovarian structure, regulate endocrine function, promote endogenous NAD⁺ production, and scientifically delay aging. Currently, the invention patent for the XA-02D strain is undergoing accelerated approval, and a drug-level clinical study in collaboration with Shenzhen Maternity & Child Healthcare Hospital is about to initiate public recruitment. Xbiome will continue to build an AI+BT deeply integrated technology platform to accelerate innovative breakthroughs in microbiome therapeutics and the broader health sector.

Technological Innovation + ESG: Both Selected as Innovative Practice Cases of New Quality Productive Forces

To showcase Shenzhen's innovative actions and practical achievements in the health industry, and to establish industry benchmarks, the organizing committee has launched the "2025 Shenzhen Health Industry New Quality Productivity Innovation Practice Case" awards. This highlights the practical results and pioneering strength driven by new quality productivity for high-quality development. Xbiome was awarded two excellent practice cases: "Social Responsibility Health ESG" and "Technological Innovation."

Xbiome, with its top-tier scientific team and AI microbiome research and product development platform, conducts cutting-edge scientific research on the human gut microbiome and rapidly translates these findings into the development of scientifically evidenced, innovative functional probiotic strains. In recent years, Xbiome has developed several "Chinese-origin strains," such as XA-02D, based on gut microbes sourced from the Chinese population. With its pharmaceutical-grade technology platform and translational capabilities, it has ultimately been recognized as a case study in technological innovation practice.

Moreover, Xbiome, as an AI pharmaceutical enterprise focusing on gut microbiota therapeutics, deeply integrates the ESG concept into the entire process of corporate development, achieving a synergistic win-win of commercial and social value. Over the years, the company's practical achievements in the three dimensions of environment, society, and governance have been fully recognized, and it has been awarded as a model case for social responsibility and health ESG practices.

Booth Highlights: Academicians and Experts Gather

At this conference, Xbiome set up a special booth at the Sun Yat-sen University Shenzhen Campus venue to introduce its main business, especially the brand-new FMT product portfolio and probiotic products, attracting many experts and industry partners to stop by. Academician Qingping Wu of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Academician Xiaojiang Hao of the Chinese Academy of Sciences visited Xbiome's booth. Dr. Yan Tan, Co-founder and CEO of Xbiome, and COO Yi Hao were present to introduce Xbiome’s technology platform and industrialization capabilities to the academicians. In addition, the Xbiome team also had in-depth discussions with Academician Chenzhong Li of the Canadian Academy of Engineering and the U.S. National Academy of Inventors.
