On November 25, Danaher and Yuemi Technology jointly announced the establishment of an integrated physician-patient platform for breast nodules, providing prevention and treatment support for women with this condition. Reportedly, the project will actively respond to and fully implement the core strategies and guidelines of the National Two-Cancer Screening Program. It aims to cover more than 1,500 hospitals and a patient population of over one million individuals with breast nodules, striving to keep breast nodule symptoms within a curable range, reduce the incidence of breast cancer, and achieve early diagnosis, early detection, early prevention, and early treatment of breast cancer.

Breast nodules, as a clinical manifestation, are commonly observed in mammary gland hyperplasia and breast neoplastic diseases. Due to the absence of overt clinical signs, breast nodules often lead women to underestimate the importance of regular follow-up, resulting in delayed treatment. Consequently, the nodules may enlarge; in mild cases, they exceed the indications for minimally invasive surgery, leading to significant postoperative scarring that adversely affects women’s physical and psychological well-being; in severe cases, they may progress to breast cancer.

The breast nodule patient-physician integrated platform established by Danaher and Yuemi Technology has created a comprehensive disease management system integrating “physicians, patients, and medical assistants.” This platform seamlessly connects online and offline modules—including patient consultations, in-person diagnosis and treatment, disease follow-up, and data reporting—to truly achieve a closed loop of “patient consultation–medical visit–service.” The project aims to ensure that “reports are interpreted, treatments are standardized, and follow-up visits are accompanied,” thereby enabling early screening and early intervention at the source, reducing the incidence of breast cancer, and improving women’s physical and mental well-being.

Qiao Minghui, CEO of Yuemi Technology, stated, “Breast nodules are a highly prevalent condition among women, and breast cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in women, accounting for 7–10% of all malignant cancers. As practitioners in the digital healthcare sector, we have observed numerous patient-provider platforms centered on breast cancer; however, there remains a lack of specialized, integrated patient-provider platforms in the broader field of breast nodules, where proactive monitoring is even more critical. By partnering with Danaher to co-develop an integrated patient-provider platform for breast nodules, and leveraging our comprehensive patient-provider management tools and services, we aim to help countless patients effectively reduce the incidence of breast cancer, foster healthy and scientific lifestyles, and contribute to the physical and mental well-being of women everywhere.”

Qiao Minghui further stated, “The epitaph on Dr. Edward Trudeau’s tombstone—‘To Cure Sometimes, To Relieve Often, To Comfort Always’—is revered as a guiding principle by physicians worldwide. Meanwhile, traditional Chinese medical wisdom teaches us that ‘the greatest physicians treat disease before it arises.’ Yuemi Technology aims to leverage data-driven innovative products and solutions to build more integrated doctor-patient platforms centered on prevention. In addition to ‘curing sometimes, helping often, and comforting always,’ we strive to achieve ‘unceasing prevention.’”
