On November 29, at the “WISE 2022 King of New Economy” conference hosted by 36Kr, Mengge Health was honored as one of the “Top 10 Digital Health Companies of the Year in the Greater Health Sector.”

As a tech industry summit that has been held for ten years, it was attended by nearly 100 renowned experts, scholars, entrepreneurs, and investors from various fields of the new economy, including Zhang Ying, Founding Managing Partner of Matrix Partners China; Wang Shi, Founder of Vanke Group and Founder of DeepRock Group; Xu Lei, CEO of JD.com; and Li Xiaojia, Co-Founder and Chairman of MicroConnect and former CEO of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The awards received by Mongo Health fall within the broader healthcare sector, which is further divided into four major segments: biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, digital health, and synthetic biology. Alongside Mongo Health, the Top 10 Enterprises in the Digital Health sector include JD Health, Dingdang Kuaiyao, WeDoctor, Insurance Geek, Medbanks Health, Mindu Zhiyun, Taozi Health, Xunshi Technology, and Insilico Medicine, among which are several large publicly listed companies. Established just over a year ago, Mongo Health is the youngest enterprise on this list.

Dong Yu stated that China’s healthcare system is undergoing a comprehensive transformation from “treating existing diseases” to “preventing diseases before they occur.” Benefiting from the implementation of the Healthy China Action (2019–2030) and the continuous rise in residents’ health awareness, China’s general health market has continued to expand. Aligning with policy directions and the growing health demands of the population, Mengge Health has actively deployed its internet-based general health business. It has established a complete health service system encompassing health consumption, medical services, and health management, generating HK$346 million in revenue during the first and second quarters of this year.

The big health industry is not merely a matter of commercial strategy; it also demands that companies operating within it uphold strong social responsibility. The deepening aging of the population, the rising number of patients with chronic diseases, and heightened public awareness of health management have all placed higher expectations on healthcare institutions and enterprises. The Chinese government has successively introduced a series of policies to support and encourage the development of the medical services sector, particularly internet-based healthcare. In Dong Yu’s view, market expansion and policy support represent both opportunities and responsibilities. “The state’s implementation of the ‘Healthy China 2030’ Planning Outline highlights that achieving national health and longevity is an important indicator of national prosperity and revitalization. As a corporate entity, how we can contribute from a market perspective has been a question we have long contemplated. Mengge Health is our answer at this stage.”
