Peking University-Baiai Medical Science and Technology Innovation & Commercialization Fund Files Prospectus to Accelerate Research Translation

On November 26, 2022, the donation signing ceremony for the “Peking University Baiyang Medical Science and Technology Innovation and Achievement Transformation Fund” was held at Peking University Health Science Center. Baiyang Pharmaceutical Group donated to establish a 10-year fund with a total amount of RMB 20 million to support the transformation of scientific research achievements in the medical field at Peking University. Attendees at the donation ceremony included Qiao Jie, Executive Vice President of Peking University, Director of Peking University Health Science Center, and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Xiao Yuan and Wang Jiadong, Deputy Directors of Peking University Health Science Center; Geng Shu, Deputy Secretary-General of Peking University Education Foundation; Fu Gang, Chairman of Baiyang Pharmaceutical Group and alumnus of the Class of 1988 in Clinical Medicine; Song Qing, President of Baiyang Pharmaceutical Group; Professor Wang Fan, Director of the Peking University Medical Isotope Research Center; as well as heads of relevant departments from the Scientific Research Office, Industry Office/Technology Transfer Office of Peking University Health Science Center, and related departments of Baiyang Pharmaceutical Group.

With the rapid development of the healthcare industry and the growing diversity of public health needs, there is a sustained increase in demand for high-level scientific research outcomes and advanced treatment protocols. There is also an urgent need to effectively translate high-quality medical achievements into clinical applications. At the ceremony, Qiao Jie, Executive Vice President of Peking University, Director of the Health Science Center, and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, expressed sincere gratitude to Baiyang Pharmaceutical Group for its benevolent support in advancing the development and construction of Peking University Health Science Center (PUHSC). On behalf of PUHSC, she presented a donation certificate to Baiyang Pharmaceutical Group. She noted that the rapid progress made by Peking University Medicine in recent years has been inseparable from the support of its extensive alumni network, emphasizing that alumni remain PUHSC’s most valuable resource and strength. Furthermore, such support serves as both motivation and encouragement, inspiring the university community to strive with greater diligence and effort.
