Gelonghui April 28 | Johnson & Johnson Chief Information Officer Jim Swanson stated that the company is utilizing artificial intelligence to reduce the time required for generating new drug development leads by half. Jim Swanson noted that while it is currently not feasible to directly use artificial intelligence to discover new products and bring them to market, Johnson & Johnson is leveraging this new technology to screen potential areas and identify promising compounds or biologics. Additionally, Johnson & Johnson is using artificial intelligence to streamline the preparation of documents submitted to regulatory authorities, cutting the traditional clinical trial report process from 700 hours to just 15 minutes.
