Biohandler Launches CANTUS FLEX: China's First Independently Developed 8-Channel Liquid Handling Workstation
On the morning of December 18, Shanghai Hanandi Life Technology Co., Ltd. unveiled its new product—the CANTUS FLEX Independent 8-Channel Liquid Handling Workstation—and held a grand launch event at the Jinshan Holiday Hotel in Shanghai. The event brought together industry experts, investment elites, and numerous partners to witness the market debut of Hanandi’s latest innovation.

At the outset of the event, Zhao Jibin, Chairman of Shanghai Hanze Life Science Technology Co., Ltd., and Li Zhe, Partner at Proxima Venture Partners, delivered opening remarks in succession. Mr. Zhao stated that the independent 8-channel liquid handling system represents a highly challenging product within the field of liquid workstations. With “independent 8-channel” meaning that each pipetting head is controlled independently, it allows for flexible, individual control of each head’s movement along both the Y- and Z-axes. This enables each pipetting head to aspirate and dispense liquids independently and at non-uniform intervals. Currently, few domestic manufacturers have successfully launched such a product. Hanze’s release of this product today demonstrates its unique technological advantages in this field and reflects its aspiration to bring honor to Chinese enterprises in the life sciences sector.

Integrating HanZandi’s mature liquid handling workstation platform technology with innovative independent 8-channel pipetting technology, this product represents the pinnacle and culmination of liquid handling workstations. CANTUS FLEX employs air displacement principles for independent 8-channel pipetting; it features a large deck with 40 standard plate positions, which can be customized and expanded to support up to 100 positions; its 360° rotating angled gripper arm facilitates seamless integration with third-party equipment; and its graphical software interface with drag-and-drop functionality ensures ease of use for customers.
