Year-End Review: Looking Back. In 2022, amid the ongoing impact of the pandemic and a complex, volatile domestic economic landscape, all employees of YiXin BoChuang rose to the challenge, gathered strength, and forged ahead, ushering in a new and splendid chapter in the field of clinical mass spectrometry. Sales of YiXin’s clinical mass spectrometers surpassed 110 units! For the first time, sales of domestically produced clinical mass spectrometers exceeded 100 units!

Yixin is the first company in China to engage in the research, development, and production of clinical mass spectrometry. In 2006, Yixin published an article titled “MALDI-TOF MS Leads a New Era of Molecular Diagnostics” in Biotechnology World, systematically analyzing the applications of time-of-flight mass spectrometry in microbial identification, nucleic acid detection, and protein analysis, as well as its potential in the field of molecular diagnostics, thereby spearheading the development of China’s clinical mass spectrometry industry.

In 2012, Yixin undertook a major national special project under the Ministry of Science and Technology (the 863 Program) to establish a protein fingerprint database, and in 2018, it successfully passed the final acceptance review with an outstanding score of 91.7.

In 2014, Yixin’s independently developed Clin-TOF-I became the first in China to receive certification from the China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA). The launch of this time-of-flight mass spectrometry system filled a domestic gap, and its technological leadership served as a pioneering model for the breakthrough in the localization of time-of-flight mass spectrometry.

In 2018, Yixin Mass Spectrometry was selected by the Ministry of Science and Technology as an innovative medical device product (the only clinical mass spectrometry product).

In 2019, Yixin Mass Spectrometry was selected for Beijing’s “First Set” program.

In 2020, Yixin undertook the implementation of the National Key R&D Program of China’s Ministry of Science and Technology, titled “Development and Industrialization of a Nucleic Acid Mass Spectrometry System and Supporting Reagents for the Detection of Eight Respiratory Viruses, Including COVID-19.” The project successfully passed the acceptance review by the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2022.

Yixin Mass Spectrometry Named NHC Clinical Mass Spectrometry Champion.

In June 2020, the National Health Commission entrusted the China Association of Medical Equipment with conducting an evaluation of outstanding domestically produced medical devices; in the field of mass spectrometry, ClinMass was ranked first among domestic mass spectrometry manufacturers.

In 2021, statistics from the authoritative intellectual property platform IPRdaily showed that Yixin’s patents ranked first in China and fourth globally.

In December 2021, according to data from IPRdaily’s report “Global Patent Wave: The Collision of Mass Spectrometry Technology and Medical Testing,” Yixin closely followed three foreign enterprises—EXPRESSION PATHOLOGY INC., SYN X PHARMA INC., and SHIMADZU CORP.—in the number of global mass spectrometry technology patents, ranking first in China and fourth worldwide.

In 2022, Yixin’s MALDI-TOF MS Glycated Hemoglobin Analysis System received authoritative certification from the U.S. NGSP.
