Recently, PROTEINT officially closed its Series A financing round, with exclusive investment from CDH Baifu, a leading domestic institution. With nearly RMB 100 million in funding, the company will unleash its clinical multi-omics technological advantages accumulated over years of dedicated development. Leveraging CDH Baifu’s extensive resources in the biotechnology sector, PROTEINT has now entered a fast track of rapid growth. In the future, PROTEINT expects to rapidly expand its business and strategic layout, accelerate the translation and application of innovative technologies, enable earlier detection and more effective treatment of various diseases, and contribute to the clinical application of multi-omics and the advancement of precision medicine in China.

Genes are merely sequences of code; it is proteins that truly execute biological functions and serve as the targets for the vast majority of drugs. Metabolomics, on the other hand, reflects the products of an individual’s current physiological activities. The integration of multi-omics approaches will enable a more systematic and comprehensive understanding of diseases, leading to more precise, even personalized, solutions and ushering in true precision medicine.

PROTEINT is among the first high-tech enterprises to bring multi-omics technologies into clinical practice. Founded in 2014 by Dr. Li Jie upon his return to China, the company has remained focused on clinical needs by integrating proteomics and metabolomics with genomics. This “genomics + proteomics + metabolomics” approach enables comprehensive, systems-level insights, overcoming the limitations of single-modality genomics and delivering more precise, even personalized, clinical solutions. To date, PROTEINT has established an intellectual property portfolio across seven domains—sample preparation, auxiliary materials, mass spectrometry testing, data analysis, and clinical application—demonstrating end-to-end quality control capabilities. Leveraging its robust technical and operational reserves, PROTEINT addresses clinical demands by accumulating extensive clinical sample cases, continuously developing innovative clinical solutions, and implementing them through its medical laboratory services. Currently, multiple products are progressing through regulatory approval processes, offering greater potential for early screening and precision diagnosis, treatment, and medication guidance for patients with cancer and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.

It is precisely based on its research and insights into the biotechnology sector that CDH Baifu has successfully partnered with PROTEINT. Building on this foundation, both parties will establish a long-term, close collaborative partnership to support PROTEINT in rapidly expanding its technological accumulation and strategic layout in the field of clinical multi-omics. This collaboration will foster exchange and cooperation with CDH Baifu’s upstream and downstream investments in the biopharmaceutical industry, thereby accelerating the clinical application of more innovative technologies.

In the post-genomics era, proteomics will become one of the most effective approaches for identifying disease molecular markers and drug targets. PROTEINT has pioneered the integration of proteomics with liquid biopsy. Leveraging its proprietary n-LAPE/MS™ technology, the company has achieved a more than tenfold increase in the number of identified blood proteins, breaking through the bottlenecks in blood proteomics research and reaching an internationally leading level. This advancement holds promise for bringing new opportunities to the early diagnosis and treatment of various diseases, including cancer and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disorders. Currently, PROTEINT’s R&D pipeline covers common cancers such as lung cancer and liver cancer, and several products have initiated pre-registration preparations. In the future, the company will strategically accelerate investment and foster strategic collaborations in this field at appropriate times.

How to Truly Let Technological Innovation Lead Medical Development: From Insights into Clinical Needs to Innovative Solutions and Their Clinical Application—This Is What PROTEINT Has Always Focused on and Practiced. After Partnering with CDH Baifu, PROTEINT will Continue to Uphold Its Original Intention and Mission of “Continuously Creating Market Demand and Promoting Medical Development,” Bringing More Precise, Convenient, and Accessible Clinical Solutions to Help Humanity Better Combat Various Diseases!
