Holds an 80% share of China’s autoimmune diagnostics market, partnering with nearly 2,000 medical institutions nationwide

Autoimmune liver disease, autoimmune encephalitis, and idiopathic membranous nephropathy were once regarded as “idiopathic” “refractory diseases” or “rare diseases.” However, with advances in diagnostic technologies, these conditions have been identified as “autoimmune diseases.” Data indicate that approximately 7.6% to 9.4% of the global population suffers from various autoimmune diseases, while the number of patients in China has reached as high as 50 million.

Since 2008, EUROIMMUN Medizin has been deeply committed to the field of medical diagnostics. By leveraging its leading standardized indirect immunofluorescence test (IIFT) platform, the company has facilitated the widespread adoption of autoantibody testing in hospitals at all levels, ensuring more stable assay performance, standardized quality control, and greater accuracy of results. The diverse patterns of “green fluorescence” observed under the microscope have become a critical basis for diagnosing autoimmune diseases, significantly advancing the diagnosis and treatment of these conditions in China.

Encouragingly, Euroimmun’s green fluorescence technology is now widely applied in the diagnosis of infectious diseases, in addition to autoimmune disorders. It plays a unique role that other methodologies cannot achieve and has gained high recognition from hospitals at all levels.

Moreover, it is the responsibility and mission of healthcare enterprises to address diagnostic challenges through technological innovation, thereby benefiting more patients.

According to Li Chuan, Euroimmun has long been dedicated to technological innovation and development. By engaging in extensive and close scientific collaborations with numerous domestic and international medical institutions and research organizations, the company has accumulated substantial clinical laboratory data. It aims to identify more valuable biomarkers to serve as diagnostic criteria, thereby further expanding the boundaries of knowledge on autoimmune diseases. This effort is intended to continuously drive industry-wide upgrading and development, ultimately benefiting the vast number of autoimmune disease patients in China.

China has now become the world’s second-largest healthcare market. Euroimmun China has evolved into a comprehensive enterprise integrating R&D, manufacturing, sales, marketing, and services. It holds multiple exclusive patented technologies and several globally unique products. To date, it has established collaborations with nearly 2,000 medical institutions across China, providing comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services to 50 million rheumatism patients nationwide. Industry data show that, leveraging a strategic layout aligned with Chinese market demands and a modern corporate management system, Euroimmun China has achieved sustained, stable, and rapid sales growth, with its market share consistently accounting for over 80% of China’s autoimmune disease diagnostics market.

Currently, safeguarding public health has become one of the nation’s top strategic priorities.

Li Chuan stated that, in the face of unprecedented opportunities in the health market, expanding into primary care and regional markets is one of Euroimmun’s three major strategies. In addition, Euroimmun Medical has also implemented a user growth strategy across two key dimensions.

The first dimension involves innovation and enrichment in products and technology. Currently, EUROIMMUN Medical has established a product portfolio in China, with laboratory diagnostic products for autoimmune, infectious, and allergic diseases, along with supporting automated instruments, laboratory testing services, and molecular diagnostics as core offerings. It is also equipped with its own R&D technical team, providing guaranteed talent support for the continuous iteration and enrichment of its products.

The second dimension is that pursuing technological innovation is an inherent tradition within EUROIMMUN Medical. “We hope that every employee within the company will regard the pursuit of advanced technological innovation and the quest for excellence as a core belief. Furthermore, EUROIMMUN Medical will continue to strengthen its AI research capabilities in China. For instance, in the field of indirect immunofluorescence testing, AI technology will be leveraged to automate result interpretation, continuously enhance testing standardization, and maximize the intelligent automation of routine diagnostics,” stated Li Chuan.

Guided by the corporate mission of “helping China’s medical laboratory industry move toward a brighter future,” Li Chuan further proposed that EUROIMMUN Medical should empower hospitals. From the perspective of products and service endpoints, the primary endpoint for disease diagnosis is the clinical laboratory departments of major hospitals across China.

“But if we take a step forward, the laboratory department actually serves physicians across various clinical departments,” said Li Chuan. He stated that in the future, Euroimmun will not only sell products to the laboratory department but also help laboratory physicians conduct better market education, enabling clinicians to gain a deeper understanding of test parameters.

“A Tower of Nine Stories Begins with a Pile of Earth.” At the Starting Point of the New Era, Euroimmun’s New Blueprint in China May Already Be Unveiled. By Continuously Advancing Diagnostic Technologies, Exploring Innovative Health Service Models, and Strengthening Its Integrated “R&D–Production–Sales–Service” Value Chain, Euroimmun Is Driving Industry-Wide Upgrading and Development. Through Cutting-Edge Diagnostic Technologies and Advanced Diagnostic Products, It Aims to Benefit Millions of Patients with Autoimmune Diseases in China and Contribute to the Nation’s Healthcare Endeavors.
