Forum on Translational Platforms for Innovative Drug Research: Bridging Basic Science and Drug Development

Driven by economic growth, changes in living environments, and an increasingly aging population structure, global healthcare demand continues to rise, making biomedicine one of the most rapidly growing industries today. The biomedical industry is a vital sector that integrates modern biotechnology with the research, development, and production of novel therapeutics, as well as disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Promoting the translation of its scientific and technological achievements into practical applications is of great significance for China to realize its strategies of becoming a science and technology powerhouse and building a Healthy China.

The 7th Top 100 Conference, in collaboration with Zhangjiang Sci-Tech Investment and Legend Capital, jointly hosted a forum on platforms for the translation of innovative drug research achievements. Focusing on two key dimensions—“platform development during the early R&D stage of innovative drug translation” and “platform development during the clinical translation stage”—the forum invited leading figures from academia, policy research, industry practice, and venture capital to jointly explore and envision the construction and future development of platforms for translating innovative drug research outcomes.
