BeOne Medicines' Performance Shines.

On May 6, BeOne Medicines released its first-quarter report. In the first quarter of 2026, the company achieved a total operating revenue of 10.544 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 31%; the net profit attributable to shareholders was 1.608 billion yuan, turning losses into profits year on year.

The company expects its operating revenue in 2026 to be between 43.6 billion yuan and 45.2 billion yuan, mainly driven by the leading position of Brukinsa® in the U.S. market and its continuous expansion in Europe and other key global markets.

Pfizer cuts its losses.

On May 5, Pfizer announced in its Q1 financial report that it had terminated maplirpacept, the last CD47 inhibitor acquired from Trillium. Coupled with the previously discontinued ontoracept in 2025, this means that both CD47 drug candidates Pfizer gained from the $2.3 billion acquisition of Trillium in 2021 have now completely failed.

Another domestically produced innovative drug goes global.

On May 6, SiranBio announced that it had entered into a global exclusive license agreement with GSK China for the small interfering RNA (siRNA) oligonucleotide SA030 (excluding mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan). SiranBio will lead the clinical development of SA030 until the completion of Phase I clinical trials. After that, GSK China will assume responsibilities for development, regulatory submissions, and commercialization outside mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan.
