Lianren Health Unveils 'Wenzhou Model' to Empower Digital Economy in Healthcare

On May 18, the “Oujiang Forum on Data: Digital Security China” 2023 Data Security Development Conference was held in Wenzhou, Zhejiang. As a pioneer in the health big data industry, Gao Jing, CEO of Lianren Health and Chairman of Guoshu Lianren, was invited to attend and delivered a keynote speech titled “Exploration and Practice of Health and Medical Big Data,” sharing Lianren Health’s progress in technological innovation, digital development, and health big data management.

In recent years, health and medical big data has been elevated to the level of national strategy. The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council have attached great importance to the healthy development of medical big data, actively implementing policies to promote big data development from three aspects: strategic planning, technical capabilities, and application and management, thereby accelerating the transition of the big data industry from theoretical research to practical application.However, alongside the rapid development of the big data sector in healthcare, issues such as fragmented medical data resources and weak medical data security protection systems have become prominent, posing challenges to the efficient exploitation and utilization of healthcare big data.

During the Health and Medical Big Data Innovative Application Forum, a concurrent event of the conference, Guoshu Lianren (Zhejiang) Medical Health Management Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Guoshu Lianren”) was officially unveiled and established. This entity was jointly formed by Lianren Health, Wenzhou municipal state-owned enterprises, and outstanding listed private enterprises from Zhejiang Province, with the care and support of the Wenzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Wenzhou Municipal People’s Government. At the ceremony, a tripartite strategic signing was also conducted with the Wenzhou Municipal Health Commission and the Wenzhou Municipal Big Data Development Administration. This move holds positive significance for the development of the digital health industry and the enhancement of digital security technologies in Wenzhou and throughout Zhejiang Province. Furthermore, as an industrial carrier for Lianren Health’s strategic layout in regional medical and health big data, Guoshu Lianren will significantly contribute to creating a replicable and scalable public data development model in the healthcare sector.

At the event, Wang Xiaochun, Party Secretary and Director of the Wenzhou Municipal Health Commission, and Yang Weidong, Deputy General Manager (CTO) of Lianren Health, jointly unveiled the plaques for the China (Wenzhou) Digital Intelligence Empowerment Center for the Health and Medical Industry, the Healthy Wenzhou Innovation Base, and the Guoshu-Lianren Institute of Health and Medical Big Data. This milestone marks the quality improvement and upgrading of Wenzhou’s new digital infrastructure in healthcare, leveraging digital intelligence to enhance the accessibility of medical and health services, and driving the sustainable development of Wenzhou through the digital economy. Furthermore, Lianren Health signed agreements with the People’s Government of Ouhai District and related ecosystem industries, providing significant support to strengthen data transaction and circulation, data application development, and the clustering of data industries. These efforts will further promote the digital transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, empower high-quality development, and make positive contributions to Wenzhou’s economic and social progress.
