Twin Blooms, Radiant Success! On May 25, at the 6th (2023) China Medical Device Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, Qingdao Jianxin Medical Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Jianxin Medical”) competed with nearly 100 outstanding projects from across China, presenting two products: “R&D of an Intelligent Dual-Engine Dynamic Hybrid Energy Surgical System” and “R&D and Industrialization of an Ultrasonic Lithotripsy System for Ureteral Stones.” Ultimately, they secured the championship and runner-up positions with high scores of 88.31 and 85.66, respectively, sweeping all first-prize awards in the diagnostic and therapeutic equipment category and emerging as the biggest winner of the competition!

A global first, this innovation is applicable to diverse clinical scenarios and resolves, for the first time, the scientific challenge of dynamically blending two energy outputs based on tissue characteristics. It not only fills a domestic gap but also pioneers the next generation of energy-based surgical devices, marking Jianxin Medical’s achievement of genuine Chinese originality in minimally invasive surgery and enabling domestically produced medical devices to “overtake on the straightaway.” The project has been successfully approved as a special initiative under the Ministry of Science and Technology’s National Key R&D Program and has entered the National Medical Products Administration’s (NMPA) priority review green channel, with NMPA registration and market launch expected by mid-2024.

“Applicable to Ultrasonic Lithotripsy Systems for Ureteral Stones”


A globally first-of-its-kind dual-frequency ultrasonic lithotripsy system designed for ureteral stones with no thermal injury, featuring internationally leading advantages such as low thermal damage, intelligent identification of stone characteristics, and dynamic control of ultrasonic energy output. The ultrasonic energy conversion and emission device and the ultrasonic waveguide rod are both original designs, enabling superior clinical outcomes. This system is currently the only full urinary tract lithotripsy system worldwide; the prototype has been completed and is about to undergo registration testing.
