At the launch event, Mr. Hu Jiangwei, Vice President of FAPON BIOTECH, stated in his address that the official release of the Shine i8000/9000 ultra-high-speed fully automated chemiluminescence immunoassay system marks FAPON BIOTECH’s comprehensive deployment across high-, medium-, and low-throughput platforms in the field of chemiluminescence instrumentation, thereby fully meeting diverse customer needs. By continuously deepening its foundational raw material technology platform and adopting an innovative open-platform ecosystem model, FAPON BIOTECH collaborates with industry chain partners through various approaches—including raw material cooperation, reagent solution partnerships, and instrument platform collaborations—to provide users with higher-quality products and services, contributing to the advancement of healthcare.

High Efficiency and Precision: Integrated Dual-Drive Design for Maximum Performance

In recent years, China’s medical security system has been continuously improved, residents’ diverse health needs have grown increasingly, and the demand for medical testing has risen accordingly. Consequently, there is an urgent need for high-throughput testing instruments in medical laboratories. FAPON BIOTECH’s new-generation ultra-high-speed chemiluminescence immunoassay systems, Shine i8000/9000, achieve a single-unit throughput of up to 900 tests per hour, with a linked throughput of up to 3,600 tests per hour using four units. The first results are available within 10 minutes, and the precision CV value is ≤3%, maximizing laboratory operational efficiency.

The Shine i8000/9000 adopts a highly integrated, dual-drive design that minimizes footprint while maximizing performance, offering significant advantages over comparable instruments both domestically and internationally. Additionally, its dual-redundancy feature for key modules effectively mitigates the risks associated with instrument failure, ensuring high-efficiency, uninterrupted operation.

Smart and Convenient: User-Friendly Interaction for Faster Testing

Currently, medical devices are continuously being optimized in terms of human-centric design, intelligence, and convenience. This not only enhances the functionality of medical devices but also significantly improves operators’ work efficiency and shortens testing time. Therefore, instrument product design must keep pace with the times. The Shine i8000/9000 has achieved comprehensive upgrades in both external appearance and internal functions, committed to delivering a more user-friendly intelligent interactive experience.

In terms of exterior design, the Shine i8000/9000 is equipped with a 360-degree long-reach articulated monitor arm that supports hovering at any position; its independent cleaning shield design simplifies maintenance. Regarding internal functionality, the Shine i8000/9000 supports bulk loading of reaction cups and one-touch consumable loading; it features dual substrate bottle backup for online replacement; and it employs solid-liquid separation for reaction cups, which are automatically discarded after testing to reduce contamination.

Flexible and Open: An Open Instrument Platform to Jointly Promote the Prosperous Development of the IVD Ecosystem

Currently, most chemiluminescence immunoassays (CLIA) operate on closed systems. A single testing laboratory may need to procure multiple different instruments to meet the demands of both routine and specialized testing, which often leads to issues such as an excessive number of devices, high costs, and insufficient space. On the other hand, the trend in the industry is for chemiluminescence instrument systems to evolve toward high-throughput, modular, and assembly-line-based configurations.

FAPON BIOTECH has been committed to building an open instrument platform, collaborating with industry partners to create an open and inclusive ecosystem. The Shine i8000/9000 high-speed platform is in the same lineage as the Shine i2000 medium-speed platform and the Shine i1000 low-speed platform. It fully supports various chemiluminescence detection systems, including AE, AP, HRP, and ABEI, and is compatible with all consumables from the Shine product series. Additionally, equipped with abundant interfaces, it enables online expansion of 1–4 units and supports connection to laboratory automation lines and other instruments. This expandability significantly reduces sample turnaround time and enhances laboratory operational efficiency.
