Recently, at the 10th Qianjiang International Imaging Forum, Deepwise Medical and The Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine jointly released the “AI Solution for Structured Reporting with CT Target Reconstruction of Pulmonary Nodules.” At the launch event, Professor Zhang Minming from The Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine stated that, in response to current clinical needs for precise diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer, Deepwise Medical’s highly innovative CT target reconstruction product for pulmonary nodules provides physicians with more accurate and comprehensive clinical information across multiple stages, including early lung cancer screening, precise diagnosis, surgical planning, and patient management. Meanwhile, the more professional, standardized, and regulated multimodal structured reports offer intuitive and rich evidence for precise lesion localization, measurement, and qualitative assessment. Supported by AI technology, the intelligent full-cycle management of pulmonary nodules has significantly improved daily work efficiency and elevated the overall level of medical services, thereby benefiting a broader patient population.

Lung cancer is one of the most aggressive malignancies worldwide. In China, lung cancer has ranked as the leading cause of cancer-related mortality for many consecutive years. Early screening and diagnosis are prerequisites for prolonging the survival of patients with lung cancer. With the in-depth application of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the healthcare sector, AI-based pulmonary nodule screening platforms have transformed traditional diagnostic paradigms across various aspects, including nodule detection, diagnosis, and assessment, thereby playing a positive role in the early screening of lung cancer. To meet the growing demand for precision diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer, AI-based CT targeted reconstruction of pulmonary nodles has emerged. Currently, Zhejiang Province has included CT targeted reconstruction of pulmonary nodles and structured reporting in its provincial medical insurance catalog, facilitating early screening, precise diagnosis, surgical planning, and treatment of lung cancer, improving patients’ healthcare experience, and benefiting a broader population.

Deepwise Medical emphasizes the integration of medicine and engineering, fostering deep industry-academia-research collaboration with The Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine. At the 10th Qianjiang International Imaging Forum, the two parties jointly released an AI solution for structured reporting based on CT target reconstruction of pulmonary nodules. The system leverages AI technology to visualize lung structures and lesions, supporting applications such as highly sensitive detection of nodular lesions, precise nodule diagnosis and automatic 3D reconstruction, automatic 3D reconstruction of bronchi and blood vessels, bronchoscopy navigation simulation, and lung cancer follow-up analysis, thereby creating an integrated management platform for the full lifecycle of pulmonary nodules. Furthermore, the system automatically generates comprehensive, detailed, and professional structured reports for CT target reconstruction of pulmonary nodules with a single click. By providing information such as precise lesion localization, quantitative measurements, and qualitative assessments in a more intuitive and enriched format, it offers additional diagnostic evidence and recommendations for clinical practice, overall improving the standardization and quality of diagnostic reports while enhancing reporting efficiency. Professor Zhang Minming from The Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine introduced and shared details about the jointly released AI solution at the launch event. Li Chaoyang, Senior Vice President of Deepwise Medical, also delivered remarks at the event.

At the press conference, Professor Zhang Minming from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine pointed out that with the continuous improvement in the requirements for precise diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer, there is a growing demand for advanced processing of pulmonary CT imaging in clinical practice. Intelligent, visualized, and structured diagnostic data provide clinicians with more evidence and recommendations for diagnosis, treatment, and efficacy assessment throughout the course of disease progression. The CT target reconstruction and structured reporting system for pulmonary nodules, powered by AI, enables automatic reconstruction, analysis, feature extraction, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and intelligent follow-up management. This system provides smart diagnostic and therapeutic support for precise diagnosis of pulmonary nodules, preoperative intelligent assessment, and multidisciplinary team (MDT) consultations, offering new perspectives, methods, and pathways for the clinical diagnosis and scientific research of lung cancer.

With the in-depth application of AI technology in the healthcare sector, the integrated use of AI medical imaging and healthcare big data has become a key pathway for AI to permeate image diagnosis, clinical treatment, discipline development, and talent cultivation. At the launch event, Guo Tingting, Senior Market Product Manager at Deepwise Medical, introduced the Deepwise MetAI Intelligent Imaging & Big Data General Platform.
