Major Breakthroughs Converge: Five Key Themes Highlighted
Empowering the Future of AI in the Healthcare Industry
This year’s forum theme is “AI Transformation, Future Health,” focusing on the transformation of the future health industry amid the wave of artificial intelligence technological innovation. The event will be broadcast live both online and offline, featuring multiple parallel forums with domestic and international participants. With dynamic integration between the conference and exhibition, it aims to create a highly anticipated annual gathering for exchange, sharing, and collaboration.

The opening ceremony of the forum will feature addresses from leaders of governments and authoritative institutions, including the World Health Organization (WHO), the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the National Health Commission (NHC), and the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government. The event will also highlight several major milestones, such as the launch of the WHO Collaborating Centre on Digital Health initiative, the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement between the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) and Fudan University, and the unveiling of the Smart Medicine Industry Cooperation Center jointly established by CAICT’s Shanghai Industrial Innovation Center, Fudan University’s Institute of Intelligent Medicine, and Zhangjiang Group. Leaders, distinguished guests, and attendees will jointly witness the future development of the health industry.
In addition, five key thematic areas—“Future Digital Hospitals,” “AI Large Models for Healthcare,” “Intelligent Medical Terminals,” “Metaverse Healthcare,” and “Healthcare Data as a Key Factor of Production”—have been carefully curated to showcase “Chinese Wisdom” and the “Shanghai Solution” to the world, while jointly mapping out a development blueprint for new applications, services, scenarios, growth drivers, and business models in the future health industry.
■ Future Digital Hospitals, A New Healthcare Experience—Digital-Intelligent Transformation Unveils a New Era of Smart Medical Services
Future digital hospitals will be patient-centric, guided by the technological philosophy of full intelligence, full connectivity, and comprehensive sensing, to provide patients with a new experience of smart medical services. Building a smart three-dimensional management and control system based on digital twin technology and creating holistic solutions for smart wards have become key to the development of smart hospitals. The forum will focus on discussions about the integrated development of new technologies and hospitals, promoting high-quality development of new models, new services, and new scenarios in smart hospitals.
■ AI Healthcare Large Models, Industrial Upgrade—Disrupting Traditional Interaction Patterns to Facilitate the Transformation and Upgrading of the Medical Industry
With the emergence of generative AI based on large models, “AI Healthcare Large Models + Healthcare” will become the focal point of this forum. The integration of these two domains is poised to usher in new opportunities for drug R&D, empower the entire multimodal clinical diagnosis and treatment workflow, and establish new paradigms for future healthcare scenarios such as the “AI Super Doctor.”
■ Intelligent Medical Terminals, a New High Ground for Applications—Iterative Upgrades to Drive AI Healthcare Applications to New Heights
As a new generation of intelligent connected medical devices integrating information technologies such as artificial intelligence, 5G, and blockchain, intelligent medical terminals are seeing increasingly extensive and in-depth applications in the healthcare sector. High-end intelligent medical equipment, including intelligent surgical robots, intelligent rehabilitation robots, and brain-computer interfaces, has become a new frontier for application in the future health industry, driving the digitalization of health management and creating new models of mobile healthcare.
■ Metaverse Healthcare, New Service Scenarios—Strengthening the Physical with the Virtual to Build a New Medical Ecosystem
Leveraging next-generation digital technologies such as AI, digital twins, AR/VR, and blockchain, we aim to build open, innovative, metaverse-level healthcare application scenarios that integrate the virtual and real worlds and enable seamless interconnectivity, thereby constructing a new healthcare ecosystem. The forum focuses on hot topics at the forefront of medical technology, including digital human twins and immersive VR-based medical virtual simulation, paving the way for new future health service scenarios.
■ Medical Data as a Key Factor: New Momentum for the Sector—Digital-Intelligence Synergy Ushers in a New Era of Digital Healthcare
As a critical foundation for public health, medical data constitutes a strategic resource for the future healthcare industry. The forum will conduct in-depth discussions on topics such as establishing and improving the market system for medical data elements to foster innovation in the future healthcare industry through data openness and sharing; leveraging medical data to drive high-quality development of AI-driven digital-intelligent integration in healthcare; and implementing effective governance of medical data, thereby accelerating the advent of a new era of future health.
