Intelligent Finance APP, China News Service, October 29th – Guofu Quantum (00290) announced that on May 8, 2026, the company entered into a non-legally binding Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for strategic cooperation with AceMapAI (Suzhou) Life Science & Technology Co., Ltd. (AceMapAI), regarding the strategic cooperation between the company and AceMapAI.
According to the Memorandum of Understanding, the contracting parties intend to collaborate through a milestone-based licensing model in the following areas: (i) Asset Licensing and Acquisition: The contracting parties agree to utilize the joint venture to co-operate AceMapAI's quantum computing drug discovery system (including QureGen AI and TyxonQ platform (quantum AIDD platform)) through licensing arrangements, and will further acquire the quantum AIDD platform and drug pipeline through milestone-based steps; (ii) Industry Fund: The contracting parties agree to jointly initiate the establishment of a quantum frontier technology investment fund, which will invest in the development of dedicated quantum chips for biomedicine and materials fields as well as other cutting-edge areas of quantum technology; and (iii) Quantum Computing Center: The contracting parties will jointly establish a quantum computing center in Hong Kong in accordance with relevant policies, focusing on the research and development of quantum computing application technologies and related innovative work.
As a diversified financial services platform, the Group has been seeking to explore various cooperation opportunities in the fields of quantum technology and AI. In April 2026, the Group and AceMapAI established a joint venture in the British Virgin Islands, marking the Group's strategic expansion into the field of quantum artificial intelligence drug discovery. The Board believes that this strategic cooperation provides the Group with opportunities to: (a) further explore the development of cutting-edge technology fields and the potential integration of their resources with AceMapAI’s infrastructure (such as the QureGen AI and TyxonQ platforms); and (b) target areas such as drug discovery and new material design, while leveraging AceMapAI’s existing drug pipeline and quantum artificial intelligence computing assets to explore and enrich the Group's potential revenue sources.
In addition, the Board believes that the potential integration with AceMapAI in relevant management and technical resources will enhance the Group's technological competitiveness in the "quantum-artificial intelligence" convergence era, and the strategic cooperation will enable the Group to leverage its management resources and AceMapAI's technical expertise.
