Guofu Quantum (00290.HK) Surges Over 10% on Strategic Collaboration with Yitu Shengke to Advance Quantum-AI Drug Discovery

According to the Zhongtong Finance APP, Guofu Quantum (00290) surged over 10% in early trading. As of press time, it rose by 9.96%, reaching HK$9.27, with a turnover of HK$53.0186 million.

On the news front, Guofu Quantum announced that the company has entered into a strategic cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AceMapAI, aiming to promote collaboration between the two parties in fields related to quantum technology. This MoU is not legally binding. The two parties plan to collaborate in three major areas through a milestone-based licensing model: jointly operating AceMapAI’s Quantum AIDD platform and advancing related asset acquisitions, co-establishing a quantum frontier technology investment fund, and building a quantum computing center in Hong Kong.

The Board believes that the strategic cooperation provides the Group with opportunities to further explore the development in cutting-edge technology fields and the potential integration of their resources with AceMapAI's infrastructure (such as QureGen AI and TyxonQ platforms); and target areas like drug discovery and new material design, while leveraging AceMapAI’s existing drug pipelines and quantum artificial intelligence computing assets to explore diversifying the Group’s potential revenue streams.
