Shanghai, China – Medidata, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dassault Systèmes (France), announced a groundbreaking integrated strategic partnership with the Eastern Clinical Oncology Research Center and Gaobo Medical Group. As its preferred partner, Medidata will jointly explore the digital transformation of clinical research for new oncology drugs in China, promoting the clinical application of innovative digital technologies such as Rave EDC (Electronic Data Capture), Decentralized Clinical Trials (DCT), and Medidata AI.


On June 13, the agreement signing ceremony was grandly held at the Dassault Systèmes Asia Pacific headquarters in Lujiazui, Shanghai. Professor Li Jin, Director of the Department of Oncology at Shanghai East Hospital affiliated with Tongji University and Chairman of the Dongfang Clinical Oncology Research Center; Dr. Tian Zhenglong, Vice President of the Clinical Research Center and Chief Operating Officer of Gaobo Medical Group; Ms. Li Wei, Vice President of Dassault Systèmes’ Life Sciences Division and General Manager of Medidata Greater China; along with other relevant representatives, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches.

In recent years, drug clinical trial centers across China have experienced rapid development, becoming a critical hub for facilitating the translation of pharmaceutical research achievements and exploring the application of innovative clinical trial technologies. Based on this strategic collaboration, the 42 member institutions of the Orient Clinical Oncology Research Center and medical facilities under the Gaobo Medical Group will adopt Medidata’s industry-leading Rave EDC as their preferred electronic data capture (EDC) solution for clinical trials. Initial implementation will focus on Phase I oncology drug trials to optimize data management, comprehensively improve the efficiency of data collection, and enhance the quality and integrity of trial data. Building on this foundation, the Medidata Unified Platform will also provide additional innovative solutions throughout the entire trial lifecycle, including Decentralized Clinical Trials (DCT) and Medidata AI. These measures will further optimize trial management and operations, safeguard the safety and experience of enrolled patients, and ensure more efficient and secure advancement of clinical trials.
