This strategic collaboration will conduct in-depth exploration of genes associated with male infertility, jointly advance the development of genetic etiology of male infertility, and promote the medical translation of scientific research achievements in the field of andrology.

In recent years, the incidence of male infertility in China has been rising year by year. For infertility cases caused by genetic factors, it is crucial to identify the underlying etiology in male patients and provide targeted treatment to effectively address male infertility. Male infertility is a complex clinical syndrome that warrants more in-depth and comprehensive research. It is hoped that an integrated research model combining industry, academia, and research will yield new discoveries and insights into genetically induced male infertility, thereby enhancing our understanding of its etiology and pathogenesis.

Professor Shi Qinghua is a recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. He has served multiple times as the Chief Scientist for major national scientific research programs, previously acted as the Project Leader for key projects under the National Key Research and Development Program, and was a member of the Expert Group for the Major Scientific Research Programs of the Ministry of Science and Technology. He currently serves as the Principal Investigator for a Major Project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Professor Shi has long been engaged in research on human reproductive health, with a particular focus on the regulatory mechanisms of spermatogenesis and oogenesis, as well as the pathogenic mechanisms underlying human infertility caused by abnormalities in these processes. He possesses extensive scientific research experience in the field of genetics of infertility.
