Chen Jinxiong
Chief Information Advisor, Gaobo Medical Group; Vice President, Medical Informatics Branch, Chinese Research Hospital Association
With nearly 30 years of experience in hospital informatization, I possess extensive expertise in hospital operations, workflows, and management. I am currently leveraging internet-based thinking and methodologies to provide greater support for internet healthcare. I co-developed China’s first successful Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), marking the transition of Chinese PACS from laboratory research to practical application. I led the development of an outpatient comprehensive information management system based on “One-Card” solutions and prepayment deposits, which revolutionized traditional patient visit processes and significantly optimized outpatient workflows. This achievement was featured in a special report by IT Manager World, earning the institution the reputation as the “hospital without queues.” Subsequently, I spearheaded or collaborated on the development of various systems, including electrocardiogram (ECG) systems, laboratory barcode systems, intensive care unit (ICU) systems, surgical anesthesia systems, mobile physician rounding systems, mobile nursing systems, hospital ERP, clinical data repositories, closed-loop medication order systems, clinical decision support systems, management decision support systems, and hospital mobile internet applications, ensuring that our hospital’s informatization initiatives have consistently remained at the forefront in China.
