From the FDA’s approval of the first DTx product in 2017, to the inclusion of “digital therapeutics” for the first time in a provincial-level national plan in the Hainan Province’s 14th Five-Year Plan for Digital Health Development in 2022, and further to the gradual implementation of Several Measures for Accelerating the Development of the Digital Therapeutics Industry in Hainan Province, digital therapeutics have emerged as a pivotal force leading the transformation of the medical industry.
