Digital therapeutics have already been applied to the examination, diagnosis, and treatment of various eye diseases, achieving notable progress particularly in the management of glaucoma, amblyopia, strabismus, nystagmus, cataracts, and myopia. Beibeile VR Myopia Control Device and Duobaoshi, a visual function training product for strabismus and amblyopia, both under Shijing Medical, are digital therapeutic products. Since their market launch, they have provided high-quality, efficient services to hundreds of thousands of patients, helping them regain healthy vision.

Beibeile integrates VR visual function training (accommodation training and visual function training) with red-light photobiomodulation therapy. This approach enables the eyes to undergo hand-eye-brain coordinated ciliary muscle accommodation training while benefiting from enhanced fundus blood circulation induced by red-light exposure, thereby aiming to slow axial elongation and control myopia progression. Furthermore, VR game-based training significantly improves children’s compliance, addressing the limitations of traditional myopia prevention and control methods.

Duobaoshi Visual Function Training and Therapy Software is a therapeutic application developed using network multimedia technologies. It employs high-energy biological wave-based visual bio-information stimulation, combined with perceptual learning training programs, to treat strabismus and amblyopia and enhance visual function.

This software holds multiple national patents and is a product supported by the Innovation Fund of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. Leveraging cloud healthcare technology and a proprietary intelligent expert system, it formulates personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s visual acuity and visual function status, enabling effective rehabilitation training for strabismus and amblyopia, enhancing visual function, and improving visual acuity.
