Senior Expert in Pharmaceutical Technology, Economics, and Management in China

Professor Rui Guozhong currently serves as Vice Chairman of the China Technology Entrepreneurship Association and Secretary-General of its Biomedical Park Working Committee. He is also the Chairman and Founder of Torch Guokang (Beijing) Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd., Beijing Huachuang Yangguang Pharmaceutical Technology Development Co., Ltd., Shanghai Fengxian Biotechnology Development Co., Ltd., and Nanjing Tianyin Guokang Biomedical Technology Development Co., Ltd. With 35 years of extensive experience in biomedical innovation, technology transfer, commercialization, and industrialization, Professor Rui has participated in and facilitated numerous pharmaceutical companies, research institutions, and investors in successfully completing clinical trials, drug registration, technology assessment and transfer, as well as hundreds of financing rounds and project mergers and acquisitions. Professor Rui holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from Nanjing Medical University, a Master’s degree in Health Administration (Health Economics) from Peking University Health Science Center, and an EMBA in Science and Technology Innovation Management from Tsinghua University.
Dr. Bo Chen
Currently serving as a “Huazhong Distinguished Scholar” at Huazhong University of Science and Technology
Distinguished Professor and Director of the Free Trade Zone Research Center

Dr. Chen Bo served as Deputy Director of the Department of World Economics and Trade, Secretary-General of the Institute of Free Trade Zones, and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of International Business Administration, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, from September 2008 to August 2016. Dr. Chen’s primary research interests include international trade, the Chinese economy, and regional economic cooperation. As a senior lecturer invited by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) of the State Council, he delivers lectures and training programs for executives of central and state-owned enterprises on topics such as China’s macroeconomic landscape and the development of the Belt and Road Initiative. Professor Chen also serves as a Visiting Fellow at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and as a Distinguished Advisor to the Jack Austin Centre in Canada. Recently, Dr. Chen has conducted in-depth research on bidirectional open innovation policies in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors. He has produced specialized research reports on feasible pathways for cross-border e-commerce of over-the-counter (OTC) drugs and the introduction of foreign-funded medical research and diagnostic centers in regions such as the Suzhou Industrial Park and the Wuhan East Lake High-Tech Development Zone.
