Launch Ceremony


The 12th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition – AIGC Healthcare Specialized Track opened in Gongshu District, Hangzhou, on January 24, 2024. Attendees at the opening ceremony included Zhang Weixing, former Party Secretary of the Torch High Technology Industry Development Center under the Ministry of Science and Technology; Yu Rong, Chairman of Meinian Onehealth; Hu Bin, Second-Level Inspector of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce; Ma Pinfang, Party Group Member and Deputy Director of the Hangzhou Municipal Science and Technology Bureau; Feng Jing, Deputy Secretary of the Gongshu District Committee of the Communist Party of China and District Mayor of Gongshu District; and Shen Jianli, Deputy District Mayor of the Gongshu District People’s Government. Leaders and guests from entities such as the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce, the Hangzhou Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, the Gongshu District People’s Government, and Meinian Onehealth Group were also present. More than 300 participants, including representatives from competing enterprises across China, investment institutions, and media journalists, attended the event.


The China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition is the most authoritative and influential national-level competition in China, jointly guided and organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Education, the Cyberspace Administration of China, and the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce. The 12th edition of the competition, themed “Innovation-Led, Entrepreneurship-Driven,” focuses on promoting a virtuous cycle among technology, industry, and finance; enhancing enterprises’ capabilities in technological innovation and achievement transformation; and building an innovation platform that gathers key elements through efficient collaboration and deep integration of industry, academia, and research, with enterprises playing a leading role. Introducing innovative resources from leading technology-based enterprises is a powerful measure to strengthen the principal role of enterprises in technological innovation and to promote collaborative innovation among upstream, midstream, and downstream segments of the industrial chain, as well as among large, medium-sized, and small enterprises. The AIGC Healthcare Professional Track of the 12th Competition aligns with Meinian Onehealth Healthcare Group’s AIGC development strategy, integrates the group’s full-industry-chain ecosystem resources, is oriented toward industrial demands for digital health management, opens up application scenarios for technologies, selectively identifies innovative projects in the fields of AIGC and large models, and collaborates with outstanding innovative projects to co-create a new AIGC healthcare ecosystem.

Yu Rong, Chairman of Meinian Onehealth


Chairman Yu Rong introduced that, as one of the co-organizers of this AIGC Healthcare Professional Competition, Meinian Onehealth aims to gather outstanding entrepreneurial resources across China in the fields of healthcare, health big data, and artificial intelligence. In alignment with the digital healthcare industry planning of Gongshu District, Hangzhou, the company seeks to create new opportunities and industries in the realms of AI and healthcare by hosting competition matchmaking events. In recent years, Hangzhou has accelerated its efforts to build a highland for life and health science and technology innovation. District Mayor Feng Jing stated that Meinian Onehealth Healthcare Group, as a key initiator of the AIGC Medical Health Professional Competition, is a health examination and medical group with significant scale and influence in China. In recent years, it has deepened its digital intelligence empowerment, leveraged its platform incubation effects, and collaborated with partners to build a highly influential health industry ecosystem. District Mayor Feng expressed his hope that the entrepreneurs present would leverage their industry influence to attract more upstream and downstream enterprises across the industrial chain to invest and develop in Gongshu District, Hangzhou, thereby providing strong momentum for accelerating the establishment of Gongshu as a highland for the life and health industry. At the subsequent Meinian AIGC Ecosystem Development Conference, Ouyang Hongwei, Executive Deputy Director of Liangzhu Laboratory and Vice President of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, delivered a keynote address titled “Biomedical Science and Technology Industry in the Context of Population Aging.” Sun Tong, Vice President of Meinian Onehealth Healthcare Group and General Manager of its Innovation and Development Center, announced Meinian Onehealth’s innovation needs. In addition, guests including Zhang Yuewei, Head of R&D for Alibaba Cloud Intelligence’s Large Model Agent Platform; Mao Xinsheng, Chairman of Shukun Technology; Li Datao, Founder of VCBeat; Shi Guoqi, Deputy General Manager of Zhizhong Technology; and Li Hong, Founder of Panhusha Xueshe, delivered thematic reports on areas such as large healthcare models, AI-assisted diagnosis, and innovation in AI-based medical device products.


Sun Tong, Vice President of Meinian Onehealth Healthcare Group and General Manager of the Innovation Development Center, stated during the announcement of Meinian Onehealth’s innovation needs that the company has launched research into the application of AIGC technology and AI-based large data models within the health examination industry. The company has identified needs in areas such as comprehensive empowerment by large models, digital therapeutics, cost reduction and efficiency improvement, precision screening, and digital health management. On the same day, Sun Tong held one-on-one discussions with representatives from participating enterprises, which expressed their desire to engage in in-depth cooperation with Meinian Onehealth Healthcare Group in areas including collaborative technology R&D, health big data support, procurement of innovative products, and equity and industrial investment.


To strengthen in-depth engagement between participating enterprises and the various business segments of Meinian Onehealth Healthcare Group, Song Wenming, Chairman of the Beijing Guoke SME Technology Innovation Development Foundation, conducted pre-competition training for the participants. The professional competition will leverage industrial advantages and resources from Meinian Onehealth Healthcare Group and other partners to provide participating enterprises with innovative services such as investment and financing matchmaking, relocation to innovation parks (including Health Intelligence Valley), and participation in the Meinian Accelerator Program, thereby empowering their innovative development.


As a co-organizer of this competition, Health Intelligence Valley focuses on building an innovation park driven by the dual engines of “medical technology translation” and “service model innovation.” It is committed to forming a full-industry-chain health ecosystem that integrates government, industry, academia, research, and application. Currently, it has taken root in nine innovative cities, established 13 Health Intelligence Valley parks, and attracted more than 1,000 resident enterprises. Wan Jinsong, Vice President of Health Intelligence Valley, introduced at this competition that Health Intelligence Valley is deeply involved in organizing biomedical-related events under the China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and providing enterprise innovation services. It offers diversified services to participating enterprises, including park residency, financing roadshows, entrepreneurship training, and market expansion.


According to reports, this year’s AIGC Healthcare Professional Competition has attracted widespread attention from all sectors of society, receiving registrations from 384 companies across 24 regions, including Beijing, Jiangsu, Guangdong, Shanghai, and Zhejiang. The innovative projects encompass technical products and solutions such as AI-assisted diagnosis and treatment, large language models for the healthcare industry, healthcare service applications, and drug R&D. Key technological breakthroughs include intelligent physical examination and diagnostic robots, ultra-long-term cardiac monitoring systems, intelligent ultrasound robots, chronic kidney disease screening with digital therapeutics, and large AI models for medical diagnosis. Following the online preliminary rounds, 93 companies advanced to the semi-finals, competing for the championship title in Gongshu District, Hangzhou. Since 2017, Meinian Onehealth Healthcare Group has hosted five editions of the China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition – Professional Track for Integration of Large, Medium, and Small Enterprises. Focusing on intelligent precision medicine, proactive health and digital healthcare, and AIGC in healthcare, the initiative has cumulatively served more than 1,300 companies and teams.
