On May 14, Liu Jiaqiang, member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang Revolutionary Committee (CKRC), and Director of the Social and Legal Affairs Committee of the CKRC Central Committee, led a delegation to conduct an on-site investigation at Signet Therapeutics. Cheng Ping, Chairperson of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the CKRC, He Bingqun and Yang Huaidong, Deputy Directors of the Social and Legal Affairs Committee of the CKRC Central Committee, Cheng Jinhua and Yue Yunsheng, members of the Social and Legal Affairs Committee of the CKRC Central Committee, and He Jie, Vice Chairperson of the Guangdong Provincial Committee and Chairperson of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the CKRC, along with other relevant leaders from the central, provincial, and municipal committees, participated in the investigation.

Dr. Zhang Haisheng, founder of Signet Therapeutics and deputy director of the Greater Health Research Institute of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, received the research team throughout the visit and provided a detailed report on the company's overall development and key focus areas. During the visit, Dr. Zhang guided the leaders on a tour of the company’s R&D laboratories, comprehensively introducing the technological advantages, development history, and core pipeline progress of the company’s “Organoid + AI” innovative drug R&D platform.

The visiting leaders spoke highly of SIGNET's innovative development achievements and emphasized that SIGNET’s “Organoids + AI” technology has cracked the industry-wide challenge in new drug research and development. Its practical experience provides a reference for the application of artificial intelligence in specialized fields. They expressed hope that the company would continue to adhere to original innovation, actively participate in the formulation of industry technical standards and application norms, and contribute to the integrated development of China’s biomedicine and artificial intelligence industries.
SIGNET is a pioneer in the global "organoid+AI" empowered innovative targeted drug R&D model, a national high-tech enterprise, and a specialized and new enterprise. The company's founding team consists of outstanding talents from top institutions such as Harvard University, MIT, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. As first/corresponding authors, they have published more than 20 groundbreaking research achievements in the field of gastric cancer, esophageal cancer, and other tumors in journals with an impact factor exceeding 20, such as Nature, Nature Medicine, and Cancer Cell, making them a global leader in gastric and esophageal cancer research. Since its establishment in Shenzhen at the end of 2020, the company has completed nearly 300 million yuan in financing and project funding, and holds more than 40 core intellectual properties.
The company currently has multiple First-in-class drug pipelines and an organoid service platform under development. The core pipeline, SIGX1094, is the world’s first targeted drug for diffuse gastric cancer. It has obtained IND approval from both the U.S. FDA and China’s NMPA, and received Orphan Drug Designation (ODD) and Fast Track Designation (FTD) from the U.S. FDA. In August 2025, this drug was nominated for the Galien Award, known as the "Nobel Prize of the pharmaceutical industry." It is currently undergoing Phase I clinical trials at Peking University Cancer Hospital and will soon enter Phase II clinical trials. This pipeline is also the world’s first drug to be advanced into clinical trials through an "organoid + AI" technology platform. The second drug pipeline, SIGX2649, is a pan-TEAD inhibitor targeting a key downstream effector of the Hippo signaling pathway. Currently, there are no marketed drugs targeting this site, and our innovative drug targeting this site has submitted an IND application in the United States. The organoid service platform not only supports its own drug pipelines but also actively empowers large pharmaceutical companies in new drug research and development. Collaborative partners include Shenzhen Second People's Hospital, the University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Shenzhen BioRay Pharma, and Genuine Biotech, contributing to the creation of more innovative drugs.
Since its establishment at the end of 2020, Signet Therapeutics' forward-looking strategic layout of an "Organoid+AI"-powered technology system for innovative targeted cancer drug development has gained international authoritative recognition. It was featured on the homepage of the globally renowned biotech media Fierce Biotech and hailed as the "NEXT Generation" paradigm for cancer drug development. In April 2025, the U.S. FDA officially issued a statement explicitly supporting the gradual replacement of traditional animal testing with organoid and AI technologies, fully validating the foresight and scientific rigor of the company’s technical layout from four years prior.
