Empowering Healthcare with Technology: Ningxia Broadcasting Network Strengthens the Digital Infrastructure for Medical AI Models

On February 28, 2024, the launch and application project signing ceremony for the Western China Healthcare Industry Large Model, themed “Empowering Health with Intelligence, Creating the Future with Wisdom,” officially commenced in Ningxia. Ma Xiuzhen, Vice Chairperson of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and Chairperson of the Ningxia Regional Committee of the Jiusan Society, attended the event and delivered remarks. More than 300 participants attended, including representatives from leading domestic artificial intelligence enterprises and heads of relevant departments and bureaus of the autonomous region.

At the event, the application outcomes of large models in the healthcare industry were announced. These large models not only enhance diagnostic and treatment efficiency but also provide personalized treatment plans for patients, promoting the standardization of medical services. Baichuan Intelligence, Zhipu AI, Winning Health, Zuoyi Technology, Fuyu Medical, and Shukun Technology respectively showcased innovative achievements in the healthcare sector, such as AI-powered screening and diagnostic tools and health management assistants.

The development of the large-model industry in healthcare is inseparable from a solid foundation of new technologies and big data. AndChina Broadcasting Network Ningxia Co., Ltd.Riding the wave of digital economy development, China Broadcasting Network (CBN) has completed the construction of its first large-scale green data center and established the Ningxia CBN Command and Dispatch Center. It has integrated a five-tier backbone network for radio and television—spanning autonomous region, city, county, township, and village levels—with 5G networks, laying a solid foundation for the development of Ningxia’s “Internet + Healthcare” industry and the healthcare large-model industry. Reportedly, the CBN Ningxia Zhongwei Data Center is being deployed and constructed at the Western Cloud Base in Zhongwei, Ningxia. The project covers an area of 210 mu, with a planned construction area of 120,000 square meters, capable of accommodating 12,096 standard server racks. Upon completion, the project will fully leverage the unique secure transmission advantages of broadcasting, television, and data information. It will undertake internal operations such as internet content and service provision nodes for the CBN system, national-level nodes for the CBN cloud platform, and core nodes for the CBN IP bearer network. This will comprehensively promote the interconnectivity, full sharing, and innovative development of data and computing power, with projected annual revenue reaching RMB 120 million.。
