Jiangxi Expands Its Brain-Computer Interface Industry Map with Another Key Move. On May 15, the Jiangxi Brain Valley·Brain-Computer Interface Joint Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as Jiangxi Brain Valley) officially broke ground in the Digital Economy Industrial Park of Ruyue Lake New City, Ganjiang New Area. This comprehensive innovation platform, with a planned construction area of approximately 13,900 square meters, will integrate cutting-edge industry displays, core technology research and development, scientific and technological achievement transformation, and high-quality enterprise incubation, promoting the entire chain of brain-computer interface scientific and technological innovation and industrial cultivation to accelerate breakthroughs.

Brain-computer interface is a new track in global technology competition. The Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government have issued several measures to accelerate the development of brain-computer technology and industry, supporting the Ganjiang New Area to take the lead in building a pilot zone for future industries. The commencement of Jiangxi Brain Valley is an important implementation of this strategic deployment.

According to reports, Jiangxi Brain Valley will gather resources from industry, academia, research, and medicine. It will focus on the entire chain of brain-computer interface technology, including R&D, technology transfer, clinical validation, and industrial incubation, to carry out collaborative research and innovative services. Currently, the first batch of 10 companies has confirmed their entry. At the same time, joint laboratories with cooperative hospitals such as the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University, the Second Affiliated Hospital, and the Provincial People's Hospital are being planned and constructed. This will form an industrial innovation matrix covering multiple directions, including non-invasive brain-computer interfaces, invasive brain-computer interfaces, neuromodulation, rehabilitation medicine, medical device evaluation, and clinical research.

"This place will become the innovative brain and industrial engine of the brain-computer interface industry ecosystem in the entire province," said Sun Zhiyun, Chairman of Ganjiang Investment and Development Group. "The companies that have moved in include well-known enterprises in China's brain-computer interface field, innovative teams focusing on brain health, intelligent rehabilitation, and neuromodulation, as well as a group of important platform-based institutions serving the brain-computer interface industry chain. These companies have clear technological routes, outstanding innovation capabilities, and broad industrialization prospects, representing key directions in the development of the brain-computer interface industry."

Notably, just a wall away from Jiangxi Brain Valley, NeuroXess's super factory is in the midst of intensive renovation. As a leading company in China’s invasive brain-computer interface field, it completed the development of China’s first “fully implantable, fully wireless, full-featured” brain-computer interface system by the end of 2025, with core metrics matching international top standards. Four months ago, the company took the lead in establishing its production base in Ganjiang New Area.

The successive moves by leading enterprises have confirmed the confidence of businesses in the prospects of Jiangxi's brain-computer interface industry. "We are very optimistic about Jiangxi and Ganjiang New Area," said Wang Rui, Deputy Director of the Regulatory Affairs Department at SceneRay Medical, during the groundbreaking ceremony. The company is actively planning its entry into Jiangxi Brain Valley, where it will gradually introduce the research, development iteration, and engineering implementation of closed-loop feedback brain-computer interface core technologies. It aims to establish a specialized patient follow-up system and a standardized data management platform while continuously improving the clinical research system to facilitate the local transformation of more cutting-edge technologies and innovative achievements in Jiangxi.
