Hisense Medical Launches HD80 Intelligent Whole-Body Ultrasound System, Driving Smart Healthcare Innovation

A Simple Gesture, Leading the Future with Intelligence. On March 23, during the Second Youth Academic Conference on Ultrasound Medicine of the Chinese Medical Association, Hisense Medical held a sharing session on new ultrasound technologies in Xi’an.

Hisense Ultrasound HD80 Intelligent Whole-Body System Officially Launched, achieving fully independent research and development of key technologies, including software, hardware, algorithms, specialized monitors, and probes.And it pioneered the intelligent “5I” concept in the industry, deploying intelligent clinical solutions across five key areas—health checkups, obstetrics and gynecology, musculoskeletal imaging, reproductive medicine, and breast imaging—to drive the comprehensive intelligent transformation of domestically produced ultrasound systems.

The sharing session was moderated by Professor Wang Zhibin from the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University, who serves as the Honorary Chairman of the Ultrasound Medicine Branch of the Qingdao Medical Association.He stated that he has personally witnessed the development of Hisense ultrasound, from the launch of Hisense's first ultrasound system, the HD60, to the release of today's intelligent whole-body ultrasound system, the HD80, having been involved in every stage from product initiation to market launch.Hisense’s ultrasound products continue to improve, expanding from Qingdao across China and into the global market.

Their topics covered digital minimally invasive interventions, enhancing primary diagnostic capabilities at the grassroots healthcare level, and integrated clinical applications for diagnosis and treatment.

Based on the digital interventional operating room built by Hisense, Professor Liang Ping introduced a comprehensive construction solution that integrates software and hardware, featuring multimodal image fusion display across all scenarios. Through multidisciplinary integration and telemedicine, advanced interventional ablation technologies are being decentralized, enabling more patients to access standardized medical services locally. This represents the future of ultrasonology and will lead its high-quality development.

Professor Li Junlai noted in his topic sharing that the growing elderly population has made tiered diagnosis and treatment more urgent. The promotion of intelligent general-purpose ultrasound is accelerating the quality improvement and transformation of primary healthcare institutions, thereby enhancing their capacity for initial consultations. Hisense ultrasound features multiple intelligent measurement functions that empower primary care settings, assisting grassroots sonographers in making rapid and accurate diagnoses, thus boosting efficiency and accelerating progress toward the Healthy China strategy.

Professor Zhao Cheng shared insights from a research project based on the extensive case images he accumulated using the Hisense HD80 ultrasound system at the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University. With advancements in ultrasound technology, the field has evolved toward integrated diagnosis and treatment, where the implementation of interventional procedures even serves as an indicator of the discipline’s development level. Currently, Hisense ultrasound systems are not only widely adopted in primary healthcare institutions but also meet the diagnostic and therapeutic needs of tertiary and secondary hospitals.

At the sharing session, Yu Jingru, Deputy General Manager of Hisense Medical and General Manager of the Ultrasound Business Unit, unveiled the new HD80 ultrasound system and highlighted its advantages in architectural platform, intelligent measurement, and premium quality. In terms of the architectural platform, the HD80 features Hisense’s self-developed Hpower dual-chip intelligent computing platform, achieving innovative breakthroughs in parallel computing, lossless imaging, AI intelligence, proprietary probes and displays, and remote integration. Regarding platform algorithms, the HD80 employs pixel-level beamforming algorithms to achieve ultimate image fidelity, ensuring precise representation of every detail and delivering superior image quality for clinical applications.

Hisense Medical has also achieved in-house research and development across the entire chain, including probes, monitors, and 5G remote connectivity. Intelligent Whole-Body Imaging is the Most Prominent Label of the HD80 Ultrasound System. The intelligent solution proposed by Hisense Medical“5I” Concept (more than Intelligence) encompasses intelligent detection alerts, intelligent quantitative observation, intelligent operational guidance, intelligent human-machine interaction, and intelligent image optimizationdimensions. Ultrasound technology has advanced from static image automated measurement and evaluation to dynamic, real-time, zero-latency acquisition of standard planes and automated lesion detection, significantly enhancing physicians' work efficiency.
