March 26, 2024, Gembloux, Belgium – Full-Life Technology Co., Ltd. (“Full-Life Technology”) announced today that its subsidiary, “Full-Life Technology Europe,” has recently obtained a radiation safety license (the “Radiation Safety License”) for Category IIA facilities from the Belgian Federal Agency for Nuclear Control (“FANC”), authorizing the construction and operation of this key facility for the production of therapeutic radioisotopes.
Mr. Philippe van Put, General Manager of Full-Life Technology Europe, stated, “The radiation safety license represents a significant regulatory milestone in the construction of our radioisotope production facility, and is a key strategic component in Full-Life Technology’s evolution into a fully integrated, international radiopharmaceutical therapeutics company.” He further remarked, “Actinium-225 (‘Ac-225’), as a promising alpha-emitting isotope, has demonstrated substantial potential in cancer radionuclide therapy; however, demand for it has far outstripped supply. Upon completion of our production facility, it will not only support preclinical and clinical studies of our internal pipeline candidates by providing the necessary Ac-225 radioisotopes for our own use, but also accelerate the commercialization of Ac-225-labeled compounds, helping to meet the growing and urgent global demand for Ac-225-based radiopharmaceuticals.”
This radiation safety certificate applies to Category IIA facilities, demonstrating comprehensive and efficient collaboration among all stakeholders, including authorities and regulatory bodies. This is particularly evident in the detailed safety report on future production facilities prepared and submitted by Fulian Technology to the FANC. The report is a critical component of the authorization process, as it must demonstrate that all aspects of nuclear safety—including facility installation, processes, and organizational structure—have been rigorously assessed and comply with stringent safety and regulatory standards.
Mr. van Put added, “Obtaining the radiation safety license also demonstrates our commitment to adhering to the highest nuclear safety standards at our upcoming production facility. Our comprehensive safety measures, forward-looking production approach, and efficient logistics system reflect our dedication and focus on advancing patient treatment and radiopharmaceutical research.” This advanced 4,000-square-meter production facility, to be built on a 17,000-square-meter plot, will serve as the production hub for Full-Life Technology.
