Global Medical Tech Extravaganza Kicks Off in Shanghai: CMEF Spring 2024 Opens on April 11

A Global Medical Expo Is Set to Arrive in Shanghai. From April 11 to 14, 2024, the 89th China International Medical Equipment Fair (Spring) (hereinafter referred to as “CMEF”) and the 36th China International Medical Design & Manufacturing Technology Exhibition (Spring) (hereinafter referred to as “ICMD”), themed “Innovative Technology, Leading the Future with Intelligence,” will be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). This year will showcase several new products independently developed in China, including the first and only four-arm laparoscopic surgical robot developed by a Chinese enterprise and approved for market launch, which comprehensively covers clinically important and complex procedures in the thoracic, abdominal, and pelvic cavities; an orthopedic joint surgical robot independently developed to break the long-standing monopoly of imported products, capable of covering both hip and knee joint surgeries; and China’s first approved intelligent orthopedic surgical system featuring navigation plus automated execution.

As an innovative sub-brand launched by CMEF, the 36th China International Medical Device Design and Manufacturing Technology Exhibition (ICMD) focuses on product and technology exhibitions, trade procurement, exchanges, and cooperation in the upstream sector of the medical device manufacturing industry. Exhibits primarily include intelligent technologies related to medical device manufacturing, such as smart manufacturing, Unique Device Identification (UDI), industrial automated factories, and embedded chips.
