Li Jiasheng, during his tenure as Director of Infrastructure at Weiguang Biologics, spearheaded the planning and construction of the Weiguang Life Science Park, establishing a benchmark for the “vertical industrialization” of biopharmaceuticals in Shenzhen and even the Greater Bay Area. His efforts earned multiple authoritative recognitions and significantly promoted the clustering of emerging industries in Guangming District. Later serving as Executive Deputy General Manager, he successfully facilitated the establishment of the Shenzhen Academy of Medical Sciences within the park, closely aligning with various stakeholders’ needs to support the implementation of the Academy’s strategic layout. Dr. Wu Tong studied under Academician Gao Shaorong at the National Institute of Biological Sciences, Beijing. She previously served as a postdoctoral fellow and lecturer at the Harvard Stem Cell Institute and the Center for Regenerative Medicine of Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Wu has published multiple research articles as the first or co-first author in top-tier journals such as Science and Biomaterials, secured several U.S. research grants, and was invited to deliver presentations at the North American Thoracic Surgery Annual Meeting on multiple occasions. Upon returning to China, she served as a Senior R&D Scientist at a leading gene-editing company and concurrently acted as a Scientific Advisor for a private equity investment firm focused on life sciences. Dr. Xin Du earned his Ph.D. from the University of Florida and completed his postdoctoral training at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). He has previously worked at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and pharmaceutical companies including Aventis-Pasteur, Wyeth, Novartis, Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS), NPS Pharmaceuticals, Actinium Pharmaceuticals, Advaxis, and Adlai Nortye. Currently, he serves as CEO of Eglin Pharma, a member of the Board of Directors of SAPA, and Secretary-General of the FDA Experts Association. Dr. Du possesses extensive experience in biopharmaceuticals and small-molecule products, with unique expertise in drug registration and regulatory affairs that bridges both the FDA and industry perspectives. He has an in-depth understanding of FDA and global regulations governing drug development, manufacturing, quality management, clinical design, and clinical trials, earning him the reputation as a “cross-boundary regulatory expert between the FDA and industry.” Within a single year, he helped secure approval for two biologic licenses, accounting for half of all biologic license approvals granted by the FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER) that year. He also obtained critical manufacturing license approvals, thereby preserving over $100 million worth of product inventory and exclusive marketing rights.

He earned his B.S. in Chemistry from National Taiwan University, his M.S. from ETH Zurich, and his Ph.D. from Freie Universität Berlin/Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces. He completed his postdoctoral training at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in the UK. In 2015, he established an independent research group at Cardiff University, UK, and joined Shenzhen Bay Laboratory in 2020. To date, he has delivered over 30 invited lectures at academic conferences and research institutions and has published a total of 42 papers. His research group is dedicated to interdisciplinary studies at the intersection of chemistry and biomedicine, aiming to address critical challenges in life sciences by developing novel methods and technologies, thereby providing new tools and insights for disease diagnosis and treatment. The group possesses expertise in chemical biology, chemical synthesis, drug development, gene editing, and genetic code expansion technology, with a focus on regulating protein activity and applying these findings to the diagnosis and treatment of diseases such as cancer.

With over a decade of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, he previously engaged in drug R&D at ABM in Canada, where he participated in multiple blockbuster antibody new drug development projects and successfully identified more than ten antibody drug candidates with anti-tumor activity. Dr. Chen founded AbCura Pharmaceuticals in Canada, serving as its Chief Executive Officer and Chief Scientific Officer, leading the development of immuno-oncology antibody drugs and the discovery of novel drug targets. He holds a Master’s degree in Immunology from the Academy of Military Medical Sciences of China and a Ph.D. in Physiology from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada, and completed his postdoctoral research at Harvard Medical School in the United States. His research articles have been published in prestigious journals such as Nature, Nature Communications, Alzheimer's & Dementia, and Journal of Neuroscience. He has long been dedicated to the clinical translational research of bone tissue repair and regenerative medicine, published more than 20 SCI papers with a cumulative impact factor exceeding 100, among which one paper has received over 1,200 citations and was selected as an ESI top 1% highly cited paper in its field. He has filed more than ten patents, and served as principal investigator or co-investigator for six projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Young Scientists Fund), securing total project funding of over RMB 18 million. He later co-founded Zhongke Ruiji and serves as the Director of the Biomaterials Department.
