On the afternoon of May 8, the AI Medical Imaging Forum, part of the 8th Future Healthcare Ecosystem Expo, successfully concluded at the Beijing Beiren Yichuang International Convention and Exhibition Center. He argued that specialized CT products offer high added value and can genuinely help clinicians address clinical pain points and challenges. Directions for the specialization of CT include weight-bearing scans in orthopedics, providing real-time intraoperative imaging for surgical procedures, and offering more convenient interventional guidance for the interventional radiology department. He noted that achieving intelligent specialization in CT will face challenges such as precisely identifying clinical needs, rationally acquiring datasets, and solving technical problems through interdisciplinary collaboration.

He expressed hope that, by leveraging joint innovation consortia integrating AI and healthcare, the world can overcome its fear of cancer and save more lives of cancer patients.

Third-party medical imaging centers are continuously innovating and upgrading across multiple dimensions—including scientific research, talent development, equipment, services, and AI applications—to enhance the quality of differentiated medical services, alleviate the difficulties of accessing care and long waiting times, and meet patients’ urgent needs.

He noted that primary care faces challenges such as shortages of physicians, equipment, and clinical experience, coupled with a heavy healthcare burden. Therefore, leveraging AI to advance inclusive healthcare means more precise diagnostics and treatment at lower costs. “We aspire to achieve more precise and cost-effective production and sales of medical devices, enabling better diagnostic and therapeutic methods to reach every county and village in China, a country with a population of 1.4 billion,” he said.
