Together, they will help solution providers in the medical, industrial, and scientific computing sectors accelerate the development and deployment of edge solutions with enterprise-grade software and support.AISolution.

NVIDIA AI Enterprise-IGX is a new product that delivers unprecedented performance, security, and support for enterprise edge computing software stacks, simplifying AI-driven operations and the large-scale deployment of AI applications. NVIDIA Holoscan is a sensor processing platform that streamlines the development and deployment of AI and high-performance computing applications to provide real-time insights.
By integrating NVIDIA AI Enterprise-IGX and Holoscan on the IGX platform, NVIDIA provides an enterprise-grade platform that delivers powerful AI computing capabilities, flexible sensor integration, real-time performance, and functional safety to the industrial edge, thereby reducing the time and cost required for various industries to develop advanced AI solutions.
Deepu Talla, Vice President of Robotics and Edge Computing at NVIDIA, stated, “As software-defined capabilities continue to empower businesses across various industries, enterprises are seeking robust edge AI solutions to meet their unique performance and regulatory requirements. The new features of the NVIDIA IGX platform deliver powerful enterprise-grade software from the cloud to the industrial edge, providing customers with enhanced performance, security, and scalability.”
In addition to introducing NVIDIA AI Enterprise-IGX with integrated NVIDIA Holoscan, the NVIDIA IGX platform has also undergone a major update.
NVIDIA IGX Orin 700 (previously known as the IGX Boardkit) now supports the NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada GPU as a new configuration option, delivering performance of up to 1,705 teraFLOPS—a sevenfold increase in AI performance compared to using the onboard integrated iGPU. This provides more powerful edge computing capabilities for generative AI and high-performance computing workloads.
NVIDIA IGX Now Supports New Product—IGX Orin 500 System-on-Module (SOM), Enabling Flexible Carrier Board Designs and Custom Configurations While Ensuring Enterprise Software Support.
The NVIDIA-Certified Systems program has expanded to include the IGX platform, ensuring that systems built with IGX are validated to run accelerated AI workloads with optimized performance. Companies such as Advantech, ADLINK, Aetina, Ahead, Cosmo Intelligent Medical Devices (a subsidiary of Cosmo Pharmaceuticals), Dedicated Computing, Leadtek, Onyx, and YUAN are building NVIDIA-certified IGX systems.
Leading medical technology companies Barco, Karl Storz, Medtronic, and Moon Surgical are adopting NVIDIA IGX integrated with Holoscan to accelerate the development of AI-driven solutions for medical diagnostics, surgical assistance, surgical robotics, and patient care agents. Additionally, Johnson & Johnson MedTech is exploring how NVIDIA IGX integrated with Holoscan can accelerate AI development within its Polyphonic digital surgery ecosystem.
Medical technology provider Medtronic is leveraging NVIDIA IGX, integrated with NVIDIA Holoscan, to power its GI Genius intelligent endoscopy module, which is designed, developed, and manufactured by Cosmo Intelligent Medical Devices. This is the first FDA-cleared AI-assisted colonoscopy tool that helps physicians detect polyps that may lead to colorectal cancer.
Raj Thomas, President of Medtronic’s Endoscopy Business, stated, “The NVIDIA IGX and Holoscan platforms have significantly accelerated our AI innovation in the field of endoscopy. By leveraging NVIDIA’s advanced technologies, we can focus on developing breakthrough software applications that improve patient outcomes and provide greater support to physicians. This collaboration reflects our commitment to ‘leading advancements in medical technology for the benefit of all.’”
Robotic surgery company Moon Surgical is leveraging IGX integrated with Holoscan to power its Maestro system. This advanced surgical robotic system is designed to assist surgeons in achieving precise control during minimally invasive procedures.
Anne Osdoit, CEO of Moon Surgical, stated, “Integrating the NVIDIA IGX platform with Holoscan has accelerated the development of the Maestro system while enhancing its capabilities. Through our collaboration with NVIDIA, we are able to deliver our intelligent robotic assistant to surgeons more rapidly and with expanded functionalities, enabling us to gather valuable feedback on our path to commercialization.”
The NVIDIA IGX platform significantly enhances functional safety and high-bandwidth sensor processing capabilities, driving continuous innovation in factory automation and robotic collaboration through AI.
Advantech is leveraging the NVIDIA IGX platform to build industrial-grade edge AI solutions for its manufacturing processes.
Stephen Huang, President and Chief Operating Officer of ADLINK, stated, “ADLINK leverages NVIDIA IGX and Holoscan to implement proactive safety features, ensuring more efficient and seamless human-machine collaboration. Through our partnership with NVIDIA, we continuously enhance precision, safety, and latency to optimize production operations such as robotic motion path planning, robotic arm manipulation, and charging station monitoring.”
NVIDIA IGX is helping researchers leverage AI to explore new frontiers, revolutionizing radar processing and radio astronomy through real-time edge computing capabilities.
The nonprofit research organization SETI is leveraging NVIDIA IGX Orin to power its radio astronomy capabilities at the Hat Creek Radio Observatory, which aims to detect technologically advanced extraterrestrial life.
Andrew Siemion, Chairman of the SETI Institute’s Bernard M. Oliver Center for Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence, stated: “SETI is leveraging the advanced capabilities of the IGX Orin platform and the Holoscan sensor processing platform to achieve revolutionary breakthroughs in radio astronomy. We are now able to stream terabytes per second of radio telescope data directly into AI classifiers with minimal overhead and exceptional computational performance, enabling us to process greater bandwidth from more antennas and thereby detect fainter and rarer astrophysical phenomena.”
Notably, NVIDIA’s previous product and technology launches at Computex had little to do with healthcare. However, at this year’s Computex, healthcare emerged as one of NVIDIA’s key focus areas. Similarly, at the recent GTC conference, healthcare was featured as a core topic for the first time. This underscores that healthcare will be a significantly important direction in NVIDIA’s future roadmap, making it an area worth watching.
