Chongqing Xin里程 Kanghua Hospital Launches Short-Term Elder Care Service to Address Summer Vacation Eldercare Challenges

Worried about elderly family members at home while traveling with children this summer? Rest assured, “short-term elderly care” is here. Addressing the impending pain points of elderly care during the summer vacation, Chongqing New Milestone Kanghua Hospital has launched a “short-term elderly care” service backed by professional medical services. This program provides 3- to 10-day inpatient medical and nursing care for seniors in Chongqing who are advanced in age, disabled, semi-disabled, living alone, empty-nesters, or recovering from illness or surgery.

As summer approaches, many families are planning spontaneous trips. However, parents face a dilemma: they do not want to miss important moments in their children’s growth, yet they are concerned about the lack of care for elderly family members at home. “Short-term elderly care” services offer a solution to this problem, with medical and nursing professionals leading the provision of professional medical care and attentive daily living assistance for seniors.

In March 2023, Chongqing New Century Kanghua Hospital was approved to establish a nursing home, providing professional integrated medical and elderly care services for advanced-age seniors who are disabled or partially disabled, as well as those requiring post-illness or post-surgical rehabilitation. The organic integration of “medical care” and “elderly care” has been widely recognized by the public. During the 2024 Spring Festival, the hospital innovatively launched a “short-term elderly care” service, assisting families leaving the “Mountain City” during the holiday in caring for their elderly and infirm relatives, achieving remarkable success.

Chongqing New Journey Kanghua Hospital is a general hospital under Chongqing New Journey Medical Management Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Chongqing New Journey Medical”).
