Bota Bio and NHU Successfully Commercialize First Joint Industrial Biotechnology Project

Bota Biosciences and Zhejiang NHU Co., Ltd., a leading enterprise in fine chemicals, announced the successful commercialization of their first collaborative project, leveraging their strategic partnership. This collaboration combines NHU’s pursuit of technological innovation with Bota Biosciences’ independently developed full-stack strain development platform, aiming to translate cutting-edge biotechnological achievements into industrial value with maximum speed and efficiency.

Bota Biosciences, a synthetic biology-driven industrial biotechnology company, has established end-to-end technical capabilities spanning from computational biological design and high-throughput screening to laboratory-scale validation, process optimization, pilot-scale amplification, and industrial production. Leveraging Zhejiang NHU Co., Ltd.’s extensive production experience in high-value-added fine chemical products, the two parties have fully achieved platform technology sharing, optimized and screened industrial fermentation strains, and jointly developed a new generation of highly efficient industrial production strains. This collaboration has successfully realized quantitative production and green upgrades at an industrial scale. To date, the project has generated tens of millions of RMB in economic benefits for both parties, with the economic value of the co-developed products projected to reach hundreds of millions of RMB.
