Establishment of the Regulatory and Compliance Committee of the China Biopharmaceutical Industry Innovation and Transformation Alliance (CBIITA)

The pharmaceutical industry is a strategic emerging industry in China and the most strictly regulated sector by the state. To explore regulatory innovations for frontier technologies, optimize the policy framework, facilitate government-enterprise communication, and promote the healthy and sustainable development of China’s pharmaceutical industry, the China Biomedical Industry Innovation and Transformation Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the “CBIITA Alliance”) has established the “Special Committee on Regulation and Compliance.” Chen Kaixian, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chairman of the CBIITA Alliance, unveiled the plaque for the “Special Committee on Regulation and Compliance” at the event.

The establishment of the Regulatory and Compliance Special Committee will serve the industry’s high-quality development in multiple areas, including regulatory innovation for frontier technologies, optimization of policy frameworks, facilitation of government-enterprise dialogue, and training of high-level professionals.

CBIITA International Cooperation Session

To further implement the Belt and Road Initiative, establish overseas cooperation channels for China’s life and health industry, and build a bridge of communication and collaboration between Chinese enterprises and government agencies, medical institutions, investment firms, and large corporations in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, the CBIITA Consortium has organized special sessions on international cooperation in the life and health industry between China and the United Arab Emirates, as well as between China and Indonesia. These initiatives aim to help Chinese companies gain deeper insights into local healthcare policies and regulations, market demands, and cooperation opportunities.

To better facilitate information exchange and balanced development between medical institutions and enterprises, the China Biopharmaceutical Industry Innovation and Transformation Alliance (CBIITA) is launching the “CBIITA Clinical Research Ecosystem Exhibition.” By centrally organizing clinical research institutions, investigators, sponsors, and contract research organizations (CROs) for interactive displays and networking, the exhibition aims to foster win-win cooperation between suppliers and demanders of clinical research resources, thereby promoting the integrated development of the clinical research industry.
