Hisense Medical Enters Strategic Partnership with Tianjin Binhai New Area and Tianjin Yujin to Advance AI-Driven Medical Equipment Innovation

On June 26, during the 2024 Summer Davos Forum, Hisense Medical Equipment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Hisense Medical”) formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Tianjin Binhai New Area and Tianjin Yujin Artificial Intelligence Medical Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Tianjin Yujin”). The three parties will deepen their collaboration in areas such as the establishment of an R&D center for intelligent medical equipment, the development of AI diagnostic technologies, and scenario-based applications, working together to create a source of industrial innovation and a highland for the biopharmaceutical industry.

Zhu Peng, Vice Mayor of Tianjin Municipality; Jia Shaoqian, Chairman of Hisense Group; and Xia Qinglin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Administrative Committee of Binhai High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, jointly witnessed the signing of the agreement.

The healthcare sector is a key business segment strategically developed by Hisense. Previously, Hisense Medical and Tianjin Yujin engaged in in-depth collaboration on AI-powered digestive endoscopy display products, successfully developing the world’s first intelligent digestive endoscope monitor equipped with artificial intelligence technology in 2023, outpacing well-known global brands. The second-generation all-in-one intelligent screen for digestive endoscopy is expected to launch in the fourth quarter of 2024. Both parties are currently establishing an R&D and Innovation Center for Intelligent Medical Equipment Technologies, dedicated to the research and development of various medical imaging devices, including all-in-one intelligent screens for digestive endoscopy, intelligent endoscopes, intelligent ultrasound systems, and minimally invasive surgical technologies.

To accelerate the establishment of the Research Center for Technological Innovation in Intelligent Medical Equipment, Tianjin will provide strong policy support and facilitate deeper cooperation between Hisense Medical and Tianjin Yujin in the field of AI-assisted gastrointestinal diagnosis. This initiative will promote the research and development of key Hisense products, including AI-enabled medical displays, endoscopes, and ultrasound systems, while opening up application scenarios to jointly build a high-level scientific and technological innovation platform for intelligent medical equipment, achieving mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.
