In modern medicine, ultrasound technology has become an indispensable component. It not only provides a non-invasive, radiation-free, and efficient method for imaging internal organs but also leverages the thermal and non-thermal effects of ultrasound to achieve therapeutic functions, demonstrating unique advantages in the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of various diseases.

According to Frost & Sullivan estimates, the market size of ultrasound equipment in China increased from RMB 8.67 billion in 2016 to RMB 12.7 billion in 2020, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.0%. The market size is projected to grow from RMB 13.97 billion in 2021 to RMB 18.65 billion in 2025, at a CAGR of approximately 7.5%.

Currently, ultrasonic testing technology is advancing toward greater precision and digitization. Traditional conventional pulse-echo ultrasonic techniques are gradually being replaced by innovative technologies such as Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) and Full Matrix Capture–Total Focusing Method (FMC-TFM) imaging.

Ultrasonic phased array technology, combined with the total focusing method (TFM) imaging algorithm, enables higher inspection efficiency and a lower missed detection rate. It also facilitates 3D visualization of inspection results, offering intuitive defect display, high detection accuracy, and ease of digital storage. However, its widespread application is limited by the high costs of inspection equipment and ultrasonic transducers.

To address this critical pain point, Eintik Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Eintik”) has chosen to enter the market.Eintik Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. was established in Shanghai in 2013. With the research, development, and manufacturing of high-end phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT) sensors as its technological core, the company provides comprehensive solutions—including ultrasonic probes, board-level designs, and complete imaging inspection systems—to deeply empower downstream customers in ultrasonic applications.

Zhang Rui, Founder and Chairman/CEO of Eintik

During his years at GE, Zhang Rui gained a profound appreciation for the technological and product advancements of international giants in the field of ultrasound. At that time, domestic companies were virtually unable to match international standards across nearly all dimensions. In China’s ultrasound diagnostic equipment industry, although the level of localization has improved,Self-sufficiency in the production of core raw materials and high-end components remains limited. Key components, such as high-end ultrasound transducers, account for a significant proportion of costs, and current production relies heavily on technical support and supply chain control by major international manufacturers.According to estimates by VCBeat Research Institute, the domestic production rate of probes is less than 50%. Achieving localization of these core materials and technologies is key to increasing the overall domestic production rate.

It was precisely against this industry backdrop that Zhang Rui conceived the idea of launching his own venture to build a domestic brand, aiming to enable Chinese ultrasound products to compete on equal footing with imported counterparts. Thus, Eintik was born. The company is positioned as a “provider of mid-to-high-end ultrasound technology platforms centered on phased-array ultrasound technology,” dedicated to filling domestic gaps in high-barrier core components, such as ultrasound transducers and sensors, as well as high-end ultrasound technology platforms.

Eintik’s core strengths in ultrasound stem primarily from its deep technological expertise and years of accumulation in the field, which have also attracted executives and senior technical professionals from leading international companies such as GE, Olympus, and Zetec to join its entrepreneurial venture. Over more than a decade of industrial development, Eintik has mastered the core manufacturing processes for ultrasonic transducers and sensors, accumulated comprehensive technologies across the entire ultrasound industry chain, and emerged as a leading enterprise in the industrial inspection sector with significant industry recognition. Currently, Eintik offers integrated solutions ranging from ultrasonic probes to complete inspection systems.Possesses design, R&D, and manufacturing capabilities ranging from core ultrasound probe components (consumables) to complete inspection solutions, and has participated in the formulation of more than 20 national standards.

Thanks to this,Eintik can rapidly penetrate the healthcare industry and, leveraging its mature and robust underlying technology platform, swiftly provide medical enterprises with customized ultrasound core components or solutions.“Medical ultrasound probes and industrial ultrasound probes share the same underlying technical logic; they differ primarily in requirements for shape, biocompatibility, and size. In some cases, industrial ultrasound probes can be adapted for medical applications with appropriate modifications, and vice versa,” explained Zhang Rui. This gives Eintik’s core technology platform strong scalability and flexibility, enabling it to respond more rapidly to customers’ customized needs.

Independently developed core algorithms and software/hardware platforms, with a key focus on high-end interventional medical ultrasound sensors

In the field of medical ultrasound, Eintik deeply empowers downstream innovative device companies through a joint R&D model, dedicated to the research, development, and production of high-end ultrasound transducers.

Eintik possesses independent R&D capabilities for its core algorithms and software-hardware platforms., independently developed a phased array hardware platform, high-frequency transceiver circuits, full-matrix capture algorithms, and ultrasound imaging algorithms.
