As the inaugural event of this forum series, it brought together more than 30 industry experts from universities, research institutions, industry organizations, and domestic and international enterprises. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including intelligent manufacturing and continuous processing in biopharmaceuticals, digital quality and safety management for biologics, the application of digital tools in biologic drug R&D, real-world evidence (RWE), multicenter clinical trials, and leveraging digital capabilities to enhance the efficiency of medical-engineering translation.

During the keynote session,Hu Hui, Vice President of Bio-BrillianceTitled“Four Waves of Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing and the Digital Transformation of CDMOs”Report: Highlighting the Inevitability of the Fourth Wave in Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing. Amidst the digital transformation, biopharmaceutical CDMOs must meet demands for diverse products, varied clients, different processes, and multiple scales, thereby resolving the “time-cost-quality” dilemma from a new dimension.

Wang Xin, Chief Strategy Officer of Borice BioTitled“Concept and Practice of Digital Quality and Safety for Biopharmaceuticals”report. Standardized quality assessment and biosafety testing of biopharmaceutical products are key concerns in industrialization, gradually becoming a bottleneck restricting industry development. Borui Ce Biology has efficiently established a biosafety testing system with independent intellectual property rights, compliant with Chinese, U.S., and European GMP standards, and obtained multiple international quality management system certifications.

The attending guests discussed“Practices of Intelligent Manufacturing and Continuous Production in the Scale-up of Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing”Agenda, with lively discussions. The discussions focused on how automation and continuous manufacturing processes enhance the production efficiency and quality control of biologics, as well as Industry 4.0 technologies(e.g., Internet of Things (IoT), big data analytics)How it is applied in biopharmaceutical production, representatives shared the problems encountered and solutions in biopharmaceutical production.

Subsequently, in another"Applications of Digital Tools in Biopharmaceutical Discovery"In the themed roundtable discussion, panelists offered numerous practical recommendations on the application of digital tools, focusing on leveraging machine learning and artificial intelligence for protein structure prediction, drug target identification and optimization, as well as exploring how virtual screening technologies can accelerate the discovery of candidate drugs.


In conclusion, attendees widely expressed that the forum provided a valuable opportunity for open dialogue and the sharing of expert insights. The event further promoted the deep integration and development of digital technologies with the biopharmaceutical industry.
