Biopharmaceutical Company Representatives Engage in On-Site Dialogue to Jointly Map Out the Industry Development Landscape

Sequoia China · Dongjiu Xinyi · Life Messenger Industrial Base (the “Project”) is jointly developed and constructed by Sequoia China and Dongjiu Xinyi. Leveraging Fengxian District’s endowments in the life and health industry, as well as the capital operation advantages and specialized operational management capabilities of Sequoia China and Dongjiu Xinyi, the Project targets frontier innovation sectors in biopharmaceuticals, including gene therapies, large and small molecule drugs, and cellular immunotherapy. It aims to establish a biopharmaceutical industrial cluster distinguished by its focus on gene therapies.

At the event, Wang Ling, Investment Promotion Manager of the Sugitani · Dongjiu · Life Messenger Industrial Base, provided a detailed introduction to the park. The base is committed to fostering a high-quality environment for the development of biopharmaceutical enterprises by leveraging policy support, spatial infrastructure, ancillary services, industrial ecosystem, innovation resources, and financial backing.

In terms of location, the industrial park enjoys convenient transportation, being a 45-minute drive from Hongqiao Airport and less than 20 minutes from Fengxian New City. The project covers an area of 100 mu, with a total floor area of 100,000 square meters. It comprises 11 high-standard biopharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, each ranging from 8,000 to 15,000 square meters, and is scheduled for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2024.

In terms of infrastructure and services, the park features dual-circuit power supply, direct piped gas and steam access to individual units, high ceiling heights, and strong floor load-bearing capacity. It possesses Shanghai’s scarce Class III industrial land resources and robust environmental carrying capacity, helping enterprises meet diverse business expansion needs and provide industrial space ranging from R&D small-scale trials to pilot production.

Corporate Representative On-Site Q&A

To facilitate in-depth exchanges between participating enterprises and the industrial park, a dedicated Q&A session was arranged. Representatives from more than ten companies raised questions concerning key areas of interest, including the park’s subsidy policies, hospital resources, industrial linkages, fund resources, physical infrastructure, and service platforms. Relevant functional departments of Fengxian District and personnel from the Hangzhou Bay Development Zone provided detailed responses. Additionally, multiple investment and financial institutions were invited to engage in discussions and pose questions to companies of interest.

Through interactive Q&A sessions, this initiative not only provided enterprises with an opportunity to understand the advantages of the industrial park but also established a communication platform for the industrial park, institutions, and enterprises, thereby laying a solid foundation for future collaboration.
