Ganzhou Municipal Government Partners with WeDoctor and Bianque Groups to Accelerate Digital Transformation in Healthcare Industry

On September 11, the People’s Government of Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement on “Digital Health” with WeDoctor Group and Bianque Group. The three parties will leverage artificial intelligence technology to jointly promote the implementation and upgrading of projects in Ganzhou, including the Digital Health Community, Central Cloud Pharmacy, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Consortium, and TCM Materials Trading Center. This collaboration aims to support the high-quality development of Ganzhou’s digital health initiatives and industry, establishing the city as a leading hub for the digital health sector in revolutionary base areas.

Government officials in attendance at the signing ceremony included Shi Ke, Vice Governor of Jiangxi Provincial People’s Government; Lian Tianlang, Vice Mayor of Ganzhou Municipal People’s Government and Secretary of the Zhanggong District Committee of the Communist Party of China; Wang Yan, Deputy Secretary-General of Ganzhou Municipal People’s Government; and Liu Zhihuai, Deputy Secretary of the Zhanggong District Committee of the Communist Party of China and District Mayor. Also present were senior executives from WeDoctor Group and Bianque Group.

Ganzhou is a nationally renowned old revolutionary base area and the "cradle of the People's Republic," as well as Jiangxi Province’s largest prefecture-level city by both land area and population. To further promote the high-quality development of healthcare and related industries in the old revolutionary base areas, the three parties will establish a close strategic partnership in accordance with the agreement. Leveraging WeDoctor’s leading AI technology and platform resources, they will help Ganzhou City achieve an integrated upgrade of its medical, pharmaceutical, and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) service systems. On one hand, by co-building AI-powered hospitals, they will support the improvement of closely-knit medical consortia in all districts and counties of Ganzhou, upgrading them into digital health communities. This will effectively enhance primary healthcare services and public health indicators while curbing the growth rate of medical insurance expenditures. On the other hand, by applying real-world data combined with AI algorithms, they will pilot the construction of a Central Cloud Pharmacy to provide unified and efficient pharmaceutical services to medical institutions at all levels, offering patients medication plans with the highest cost-effectiveness. Furthermore, relying on digital-intelligent platforms, they will establish the Bianque TCM Consortium and a TCM Herbal Materials Trading Center, facilitating the digital inheritance of TCM, ensuring stable supply of high-quality TCM materials at reasonable prices, and achieving the goal of “quality doctors, quality medicines, and superior therapeutic outcomes.”

The “14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of Health Undertakings in Ganzhou City” points out that it is necessary to strengthen the dual-wheel drive of health undertakings and industries, stimulate the vitality of diverse social forces to participate, and enhance the level of health development and regional radiation and driving role. The achievement of this cooperation and the introduction of WeDoctor and Bianque AI Innovation Platform will further accelerate the development of the health industry in the revolutionary base areas and the realization of the goal of building a healthy "Red Capital." At the symposium, Vice Governor Shi Ke affirmed the innovative practices of using "Artificial Intelligence+" to empower medical services and upgrade the health industry, emphasizing the need to conduct pilot projects in Ganzhou and promote them throughout Jiangxi Province once the model matures.
