To implement the national policy on promoting industrialization in the health sector, address major strategic needs of national medicine, focus on clinical technological innovation and domestic substitution in the health field, cultivate and strengthen the team of medical innovation service enterprises, leverage the critical catalytic role of third-party institutions in the translation of medical innovations, promote deep integration of the innovation chain, industrial chain, and service chain, and advance high-quality achievement translation for research-oriented hospitals, medical schools, medical research institutions, and start-up medical product companies, the National Engineering Research Center for Individualized Diagnosis and Treatment Technology and Furong Laboratory, in collaboration with the Sichuan Western Medical Technology Transfer Center, China Technology Exchange, Peking University Medical Science Innovation Center, and other institutions, have launched2024Year“High-Quality Service Provider for Medical Innovation Translation”Call for Selection.

The initial review panel comprises strategic scientists and nationally recognized talents in the medical field, heads of technology transfer at renowned hospitals and medical schools, senior executives from leading investment firms, and leaders of relevant authoritative industry associations.

• Final Review (October 8–10, 2024)

The National Engineering Research Center for Personalized Diagnosis and Treatment Technologies, in conjunction with its co-organizing institutions, jointly conducted the final evaluation of the shortlist and determined the final list of selected entities through comprehensive review.

• Release and Promotion (October 12, 2024)

The shortlist is in “Personalized MedicineThe “Seminar and the 4th Health Innovation and Translation Management Forum” (Haikou, October 12, 2024) was officially released, with simultaneous coverage by national authoritative media. A dedicated promotion session was held during the conference, inviting representatives from selected institutions and enterprises to present specifically to the 200 attendees responsible for technology transfer at hospitals and universities across China.

• Promotion and Publicity (October 12, 2024–December 31, 2024)

Selected institutions and enterprises will directly become member units of the “China Medical Innovation and Translation Management Alliance.” The Alliance will leverage its collaborative matrix of authoritative media, online platforms, and new media channels to conduct centralized promotional campaigns, thereby expanding the influence of this selection initiative. Meanwhile, it will establish referral channels for high-quality institutions and enterprises among alliance hospitals, medical schools, and related companies.

1. This selection process adheres to the principles of objectivity, fairness, and impartiality, with strict screening and selection of the best candidates from among the qualified.

2. Indicator Selection System: This initiative has primarily constructed a comprehensive framework and logical closed loop for the evaluation system of medical innovation translation services, ensuring objectivity, scientific rigor, and fairness in the assessment. Classified evaluations are implemented according to the characteristics of different innovation service entities. The approach adopts objective raw data and scoring data from in-depth interviews with service institutions, continuously exploring quantitative evaluation methods centered on the performance of enterprises and institutions. This strategy aims to fully leverage the positive guiding role of evaluation indicators in industry development, while acknowledging their inherent limitations and clearly defining the scope and manner of their application. First, the weight of indicators related to service recipient satisfaction is increased to emphasize service efficiency. Second, quality control management is strengthened, striving to ensure comprehensive objectivity and fairness of data through field visits and verification against relevant data from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA). Third, attention is paid to the development trends of institutions and enterprises, highlighting an orientation toward high-quality development.

3. All review experts are required to sign agreements on fair and impartial review as well as confidentiality agreements.
