6th Forum on Clinical Biobank Innovation and Development: Advancing Sample Digitization, Data Assetization, and Intelligent Applications
In recent years, against the backdrop of rapid advancements in biomedical technology, the importance of biological sample resources has become increasingly prominent. The digital transformation and asset-based utilization of these resources have also emerged as key drivers for medical research and biopharmaceutical innovation, reflecting a high level of attention and far-reaching planning towards the development of biobanks. Meanwhile, as legal regulations and ethical standards governing human genetic resources grow increasingly stringent, many institutions face the common issue of “high storage but low utilization” of such resources. Consequently, the translational use and digital transformation of biological samples are encountering a series of new problems and challenges.
To promote the sharing and utilization of biospecimen resources and foster collaborative innovation among medical institutions, enterprises, and research organizations, the Life Valley Biospecimen Translation Research Institute in Changping District, Beijing, in collaboration with Beijing Children’s Hospital affiliated with Capital Medical University and the Beijing Life Science Park Biotechnology Research Institute, plans toThe 6th Clinical Biobank Innovation and Development Forum Was Held in Beijing on November 15-16, 2024This forum will focus on the core themes of “sample digitization, data assetization, and intelligent application,” inviting authoritative experts from the fields of biobank management, translational medicine, data science, and artificial intelligence to engage in in-depth exchanges and discussions on hot topics such as standards and practices for the digitization of biological sample data, exploration of business models for data assetization, and cutting-edge applications of intelligent technologies in drug development and clinical practice.
This forum not only summarizes and showcases past achievements but also maps out and envisions future development. We aim to establish a multidisciplinary platform for exchange, fostering deep integration among medical institutions, enterprises, and research entities, jointly driving the transformation of biobank resources from static storage to dynamic value creation, and ushering in a new chapter in biomedical innovation and human health advancement.
