It is reported that WONCA was established in Melbourne, Australia, in 1972. As an academic organization for general practitioners/family physicians worldwide, it serves as a senior advisor and working partner to the World Health Organization (WHO) in the field of community health. WONCA accreditation is a prestigious credential in the global field of family medicine, with standards aligned with WHO guidelines, thereby carrying significant international authority. Physicians who obtain WONCA accreditation gain broader international recognition, which plays a crucial role in enhancing the global competitiveness of both individuals and medical institutions. Ping An Healthcare’s recent achievement of dual accreditation demonstrates that its family physicians’ professional competencies have been recognized by authoritative international organizations, and that its medical and health management services have reached world-class standards. This accomplishment has significantly strengthened the company’s international competitiveness and brand influence.

Partnering with the World Organization of Family Doctors to Build a Professional Pathway for Team Growth

To build a high-quality domestic physician team, provide services benchmarked against international standards, and promote the high-quality development of online family doctor services, Ping An Healthcare has been continuously strengthening its family doctor service capabilities in three key areas:

In the cultivation of medical talent, to ensure high-quality services from family doctors, Ping An Healthcare has actively leveraged global resources and collaborated with WONCA to create the world’s first professional development program for family doctors, helping them establish a continuous career growth pathway. Through an internationalized training system and high-standard certification, Ping An Healthcare is committed to injecting a steady stream of highly qualified professionals into the family doctor workforce. Additionally, by leveraging digital tools, the company aims to popularize the concept and model of family doctor services among the general public.

Ping An Healthcare’s digital health platform continues to innovate and upgrade. As early as 2019, the platform obtained certification from WONCA, and this year it has once again achieved the highest-level certification for digital health platforms. This accomplishment stems from Ping An Healthcare’s sustained investment and exploration in medical technology innovation. The company has established five major databases—covering diseases, prescription treatments, medical products, medical resources, and personal health—thereby constructing a globally leading medical knowledge graph. Building on this foundation, it has innovatively developed the “Ping An Yi Bo Tong” multimodal large medical model along with 12 AI business models. Furthermore, Ping An Healthcare has comprehensively upgraded its “Ping An Yi Jia Ren” physician workstation, leveraging AI technology to implement full-scale quality inspection and ensure the safety and compliance of medical services. The application of these advanced technologies and platforms enables Ping An Healthcare’s family doctor services to meet users’ health needs more efficiently and precisely.

In promoting service standards, Ping An Healthcare has partnered with the Chinese Medical Association’s Branch of General Practice and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) to elevate the service standards and models—built upon top-tier family physician talent and high-quality internet platforms—to national group standards. This initiative aims to further optimize and facilitate the replication and promotion of the family physician model across China and globally, establishing a first-class, world-renowned brand for high-quality family physician services.
