To enhance the service capabilities of primary healthcare institutions and promote the implementation of the model featuring “primary-level examinations, superior-level diagnoses, and mutual recognition of results,” the training course on the application of Qingdao’s Remote Ultrasound Management Platform and the improvement of ultrasound capabilities in primary medical institutions was launched on October 29. Under the leadership of the Qingdao Municipal Health Commission and in collaboration with the Qingdao Society of Ultrasound Medicine Engineering, this marks the fourth training session organized and implemented by Hisense Medical. More than 100 ultrasound physicians from primary medical institutions in Qingdao participated in the training. Through on-site lectures and hands-on mentoring by ultrasound experts in Qingdao, the program further improved the application system of the primary-level ultrasound platform and enhanced the ultrasound diagnostic capabilities of primary-care physicians, laying a solid foundation for the high-quality development of Qingdao’s medical service system.

At the opening ceremony, Zhang Ni pointed out that the Qingdao Municipal Health Commission has actively responded to national and provincial deployments. In accordance with the requirements of the “Qingdao Plan for Enhancing Ultrasound Diagnosis and Treatment Capabilities in Primary Medical Institutions,” all government-operated township health centers and community health service centers across the city must be fully integrated into the remote ultrasound management platform. By the end of 2024, full coverage of remote ultrasound services will be achieved in government-operated primary medical institutions, enabling patients to undergo initial ultrasound consultations at primary care facilities while receiving expert ultrasound consultations from municipal (district-level) hospitals, thereby enhancing the overall level of ultrasound services in primary healthcare across the city. Meanwhile, she highly recognized Hisense Medical’s active participation in Qingdao’s efforts to enhance ultrasound capabilities, expressing expectations that Hisense would continue to deepen the integration of medicine and engineering, leveraging technological and product iterations to benefit more patients in primary care settings.

Wang Zhibin stated that the Society bears the mission of ultrasound education and training. By working closely with Hisense Medical, it has established a professional training platform for grassroots healthcare providers to enhance the professional standards of ultrasound medicine and engineering in Qingdao, thereby continuously promoting the improvement of quality and efficiency in medical and health services. The training primarily featured expert lectures on cardiology and vascular ultrasound, along with hands-on practice using the remote ultrasound platform. It is hoped that grassroots physicians will apply what they have learned to their clinical work, providing higher-quality ultrasound diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients at the primary care level. On-site, Wang Zhibin also shared his user experience with Hisense ultrasound systems, noting their strong performance in AI-based screening and image quality. He emphasized that these systems provide clear and accurate imaging support, assisting grassroots physicians in making precise diagnoses.

Zhang Liwei stated that the Qingdao Primary Care Ultrasound Capacity Enhancement Initiative, launched in 2021, has seen active participation from Hisense Medical. The company has established a municipal-level remote ultrasound consultation platform and a training demonstration base, while equipping primary care institutions with Hisense ultrasound systems and remote consultation equipment. Over the past few years, Hisense ultrasound devices have garnered positive feedback and recognition from primary care physicians. Looking ahead, Hisense Medical will continue to accelerate technological iterations and collaborate with hospitals at all levels to consistently introduce ultrasound equipment better tailored to the needs of primary care settings, thereby supporting the improvement of ultrasound diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities at the grassroots level.

This training program features extensive coverage and strong professional specificity. Professor Sun Pin from the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University delivered a special lecture on “Diagnostic Approach to Valvular Heart Disease,” explaining common cases and sharing the department’s applications of 5G remote echocardiography. Professor Li Xia from Qingdao Municipal Hospital presented on “Examination Methods for Peripheral and Cervical Vascular Diseases,” highlighting technical key points in diagnosing vascular-related cases. Professor Liu Yong from Qingdao Haici Medical Group shared insights on “Echocardiographic Examination Methods for Coronary Heart Disease,” introducing commonly used diagnostic techniques based on his extensive clinical experience and cases. Professor Lu Min from Qingdao Cardiovascular Hospital conducted teaching demonstrations of standard cardiac ultrasound views using Hisense ultrasound equipment.

During the hands-on session, primary care physicians were divided into groups to practice cardiovascular ultrasound case diagnosis using Hisense ultrasound systems. Under the step-by-step guidance of experts, they mastered standardized ultrasound diagnostic techniques and gained a thorough understanding of the operational workflow for remote consultation platforms. “The experts provided patient answers to complex clinical cases we encountered, which helped us accelerate our professional growth. Moreover, the clear image quality of Hisense ultrasound systems is highly beneficial for primary care diagnostics,” remarked one primary care physician at the event.

As a key business segment of Hisense Group, Hisense Medical continues to deepen its expertise in the field of ultrasound diagnosis and treatment. By focusing on the clinical needs of primary care settings, it helps address issues such as insufficient ultrasound diagnostic resources and limited capabilities in grassroots medical institutions. Earlier this year, Hisense launched its new HD80 ultrasound system, which delivers clearer image quality. Equipped with automatic measurement and intelligent analysis technologies, the HD80 is widely applicable to various clinical scenarios, including health screenings, obstetrics and gynecology, musculoskeletal imaging, reproductive medicine, and breast examinations. It meets the demand for whole-body patient examinations and contributes to the development of the healthcare service system.
