On October 31, the Third General Election Conference of the Rehabilitation Medicine Specialist Branch of the Beijing Medical Doctor Association was successfully held at Beijing Jianjia Rehabilitation Hospital. Attendees included Guo Jianping, Secretary-General of the Beijing Medical Doctor Association; Zhang Yulan, Deputy Secretary-General; Ren Haonan from the Membership Department; Professor Xi Jianing, candidate for President of the Rehabilitation Medicine Specialist Branch; Professor Li Jianjun from the China Research Institute of Rehabilitation Science, candidate for Vice President; Director Wang Ninghua from Peking University First Hospital; Director Chen Yaping from Beijing Tongren Hospital; Director Jiang Shan from China-Japan Friendship Hospital; Professor Cao Lei from Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University; and more than 80 council representatives and rehabilitation experts from numerous Grade A tertiary hospitals and medical institutions at various levels in Beijing.

Following the election at the conference, Professor Jia-Ning Xi is proposed as the President of the new branch committee. The appointment certificate will be officially issued after the election results are reviewed and approved by the headquarters.


Professor Xi emphasized that, under the leadership of the Beijing Medical Doctor Association, the new council will be committed to better uniting rehabilitation physicians in Beijing, fully implementing the new thoughts and strategies outlined in the Report to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China on accelerating the construction of an innovative country and realizing the Healthy China Strategy, thereby meeting the people’s growing demand for health services.

As a renowned rehabilitation expert in China, Professor Xi was the first to advocate the concept of “Comprehensive Rehabilitation” in the country. This initiative not only sparked a scientific re-evaluation of rehabilitation medicine within the industry but also contributed to the iterative innovation of the national rehabilitation sector and the standardized development of rehabilitation institutions. Professor Xi places high hopes on the future advancement of rehabilitation medicine and the development of new quality productive forces in rehabilitation healthcare. As a practitioner promoting the application of advanced domestic rehabilitation concepts and technologies, Beijing Jianjia Rehabilitation Hospital is achieving steady progress in its core development under the guidance of the “Discipline Construction and Management Achievement System for Rehabilitation Medicine” established by Professor Xi Jianing.


To further strengthen communication and exchange within the industry, Professor Xi Jianing invited attending leaders and industry experts to visit Beijing Jianjia Rehabilitation Hospital for guidance. During the visit, Professor Xi introduced the hospital’s scale, discipline development, specialized departments, equipment and facilities, as well as its service features. The experts fully affirmed the hospital’s construction and its supporting software and hardware infrastructure.

Professor Xi and Industry Experts Jointly Visit Beijing Jianjia Rehabilitation Hospital


The advancement of rehabilitation medicine relies on specialized medical institutions and up-to-date therapeutic concepts. Beijing Jianjia Rehabilitation Hospital, the flagship hospital under the Jianjia Medical (formerly Guokong Medical) rehabilitation brand, covers a construction area of over 30,000 square meters and is built in accordance with the standards for tertiary rehabilitation hospitals. It features functional areas including an outpatient center, rehabilitation hall, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), High Dependency Unit (HDU), laminar flow operating rooms, a medical imaging center, and a hyperbaric oxygen therapy center. The hospital specializes in rehabilitation disciplines such as coma arousal, neurology, critical care, cardiopulmonary, and orthopedics.The rehabilitation hall spans nearly 3,000 square meters and is equipped with more than 500 advanced rehabilitation devices, including intelligent systems such as upper and lower limb robots, exoskeleton robots, and virtual reality assessment systems. The medical imaging center has invested in large-scale diagnostic equipment, including a 3.0T MRI scanner, a 128-slice CT scanner, and digital radiography (DR) systems, enabling comprehensive examinations across multiple fields such as neurological, body, joint, oncological, and cardiovascular conditions. The hyperbaric oxygen facility consists of a new generation of high-end flat-bottomed multi-chamber groups with three chambers and seven doors, with a rated capacity of 30 individuals. The chambers are equipped with multifunctional breathing modules, allowing for the use of monitors and ventilators inside.
